We will discuss all of these things shortly to make sure that you have all the information you need to pick the right place for zip lining in Maui!
Maui Zipline Company
If you will be bringing children with you, Maui Zipline Company would be a great choice for you. Children as young as 5 years of age are able to zip. Pricing starts at about $110 dollars per person and will last between 2-2.5 hours. A scenic walk on a gorgeous trail will take you through the beautiful Maui Tropical Plantation. Side-by-side zip lines ranging from 300-900 feet will take you over the extraordinary Haleakala volcano. Views of the coastline are available as you descend over the tropical lagoon. Have someone in your group that doesn’t want to zip? No problem! They can enjoy all the plantation has to offer, or they can see all lines from the tropical lagoon area. Located at the gardens of the tropical plantation, Maui Zipline Company is a very short drive from the Kahului airport.
Piiholo Ranch Zipline
Another great option is Piiholo Ranch Zipline. This location features both a side-by-side zip line and single lines. You can soar high above a eucalyptus forest with exquisite coastal views, or underneath a treetop canopy with lush greenery. The treetop zip tour will take you under the canopy from treehouse to treehouse letting you experience everything that nature has to offer. There is a combo tour available that includes an all-day zip, 2 relaxing waterfalls, and a nature hike. Pricing starts out at $140 per person. Children must be 8 years of age or older to zip.
This location is in Upcountry Maui above Makawao. They do recommend car rental for the day since bus transportation does not extend that far. They do not provide shuttle services, however they do work closely with rental companies and some of those companies provide discounts for zipline clients.
If dual zip lining is what you’re looking for, Kapalua Ziplines is for you. All courses feature dual lines so you can share this amazing experience with a family member or friend. You have your choice between a 5, 6, or 7 line tour. Some include ATV rides, scenic hikes, and even snacks! Pricing starts around $180 per person. These tours range in time from 2.5-3.5 hours. Children must be 10 to zip at this location. Also offered here is a night tour called the Moon Zip. Experience this incredible event under the stars. You won’t find anything else quite like it! Kapalua Ziplines is located north of Lahaina on Office Road.
Skyline Eco Adventures
Get up close and personal with the slopes of the volcano Haleakala National Park while zip lining at Skyline Eco Adventures. The swinging bridge, deep canyons, and 90 foot drops are plenty for the biggest of all thrill seekers. There are 5 lines at this course and they don’t disappoint. At the 5th line, go 0-45 mph in just mere seconds on this pendulum style line. See the magnificent sunrise of the Pacific Ocean from 10,000 feet in the air, then zip all 5 lines with the Bike and Zip package. Start your day with serenity and end it with adrenaline with this combo! Also included is round trip transportation from your hotel. This one has limited availability so be sure to call ahead for reservations.
Most places discussed here will take zip liners on a walk-in basis, but calling ahead for reservations would be best. Most also have weight restrictions, so be sure to check about that as well.
