Welcome to Hale Kauka, in the quaint town of Puako.  Located on the Big Island’s Kohala coast, Hale Kauka is one of the few ocean front properties in the area that has access to a small sandy beach right off the backyard! This home is located on one of the best dive spots in Puako Bay ! The area is known for its fantastic snorkeling and diving conditions because of the crystal clear cobalt waters, and the extensive, spectacular coral reefs. A main attraction of Puako are the petroglyph fields where you can see over 3,000 breathtaking vestiges of these ancient rock drawings.  Location is everything, and Hale Kauka offers our visitors close proximity to the gorgeous white sand beaches of Hapuna, Wailea Bay, and Mauna Kea.  We are 35 minutes to Kona, Waimea, and the north Kohala area.  Close by at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, and the Mauna Lani, you will find incredible shops and top rate dining.  Everything our guests could want is conveniently located for your vacation pleasure!
As you enter this amazing house you will immediately notice the comfort, style, and charm of the island décor.  This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home boasts everything you will need for the vacation of a lifetime!  The living room faces the ocean, and offers incredible views.  There is a formal dining room, a library/TV room, and a massive kitchen with all the modern conveniences of home.   Additionally, there is a 4th, smaller bedroom with a twin bed and a standard closet.  The master bedroom has a gorgeous 4 poster bed, a spacious deck, and views as far as the eye can see!  The spa like, large bathroom will pamper you with a large soaker tub, and a double vanity.  The living room has pocket sliding doors that lead you right out onto the large lanai, with comfortable dining, lounging, and BBQ amenities.  Additionally, there is a spa and a private lap pool!  The spacious yard includes beautiful tropical landscaping, gorgeous palm trees and an expansive lawn with plenty of room to relax and play! 
Hale Kauka is an example of old Hawaii at its best.  This home was designed by the famous Hawaiian architect, Vladimir Ossipoff.  Ossipoff was known as “the master of Hawaii modern architecture.” He intelligently designed his projects to adapt and mold to their natural landscape using dark woods, native stones and local materials.
