The two-story, five-bedroom, three-bath Moana Hale (meaning "beautiful ocean home") was designed by local award-winning architect Lucky Bennett. Its main entrance features koi ponds set within a peaceful, lush garden. Slate floors and high ceilings create a cool atmosphere throughout the home, and a custom kitchen boasts koa cabinetry, black granite countertops, stainless steel appliances (including a Sub-Zero refrigerator and wine fridge), and bar seating overlooking the dazzling Pacific. The home also includes a formal dining space, a comfortable living space with a sizable down sofa and large-screen high-definition television (complete with cable service, Apple TV, and DVD), and an ocean-view billiard area with a well-maintained, state-of-the-art table.

An upstairs, two-bedroom, two-bath honeymoon suite, Hale Lihikai (meaning "close to the sea"), showcases breathtaking views of the brilliant blue ocean. This romantic retreat offers luxuries that include a private balcony, an Eastern king bed, and a bathroom with a jetted soaking tub, an open shower, and dual vanities. This lovely unit also has its own kitchen and ocean-view sitting area.

Bright and beautiful Hale Kahakai (meaning "near the ocean") provides two more bedrooms and baths, plus a queen-size sleeper sofa and its own full kitchen.

The only private, hosted, oceanfront vacation rental on the Big Island, Kona Beach Bungalows Estate features a total of 9 bedrooms and 7 baths in three units that share the gorgeous common grounds, the lava rock saltwater pool and Jacuzzi, lushly landscaped yard overlooking the Pacific Ocean, enchanting koi ponds and barbecue grills.
