Kona Reef F11

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Kona Reef! It was like home and a hotel in one. We got to have all the amenities of home and a pool! The location was wonderful. It was so easy to walk to downtown Kona or the little beach next door. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay! It was quiet, but also close to many restaurants. We would stay here again.

Good location within 10 minute walk of Kona. Nice pool right on the ocean. Good view of sunset every night. All the gas grills were replaced while we were there which was nice. Property mgrs were responsive when we needed a repair. Negatives: No overhead light over dining table. The table and chairs are very low as to make them almost unusable for a 6 foot person. We ate dinner on the Lanai every night which is ok. No overhead fan or light in living room which many other units in Kona Reef have. Very low water pressure in the shower.

The property is well equipped and very clean. We have stayed in this u it multiple times and plan to return. We love the pool and the view of whales, dolphins and passing boats and surfers.

We loved our vacation rental! The condo provided many things that were so useful- beach chairs, a small cooler, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. A beautiful view and a very comfortable bed. Kitchen was well stocked with all we needed, and it was clean.

Beautiful view and great location. Walking distance to downtown Kona (5 minute walk down a quite private street by the beach) and next door to a small beach where boogie boarding was invented! We got to watch surfers and boogie boarders from our beautiful patio. The pool was great and there’s even a grassy area with access to the lava rocks along the beach where we enjoyed watching the sunset every night. It’s super quiet and the place was really nice. Communication was super fast and the owner was super responsive to any questions or requests we had. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

This is near the heart of Kona, but far enough away from the main crowd and noise. Walk 10 minutes, is better than driving. Washer/dryer was a plus.

This listing is exactly as described and pictures are a true representation. The balcony and ocean view was one of the best features.

Great condo very accurate to pictures. The bedroom is near the road and I am a light sleeper and woke early to garbage trucks and early morning traffic. Other than that the location was great. Beach next to property, pool was nice, restaurants and shopping witching a short walk. Would definitely return.

This apartment is exactly as described in the description and has a beautiful lanai and view of the ocean. It is very centrally located to downtown Kona. This unit has AC and it is an absolute necessity (we stayed at the end of May and temperatures were between mid 70s and mid 80s F). There is a breeze, but it is a warm breeze. Would absolutely recommend staying here and would stay here again.

This condo is the heart of Kona. It is well appointed and stocked with all your needs. Everything is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We didn’t stay long but I definitely recommend it to new visitors

Everything we needed was there. View was relaxing and perfect for our morning breakfast. Parking was an ease. Check in and entry was perfect. If we return it will be to this location.

The condo was clean and well-maintained. The view was overlooking the pool and of the ocean beyond. We even saw a whale breach from the lanai! Parking was available on site. The unit is near the street and rubbish/recycling bins. Early in the morning the sounds could be a bit loud but the disturbance was generally brief. Overall, a nice unit, great view, good lication

This condo is in an absolutely ideal location, easy walking distance to nearly everything in old town Kailua-Kona. The unit was spotlessly clean and well furnished. Kitchen had all items anyone would want and bed was sublimely comfortable. All linens and towels were good quality and clean. Common pool area is convenient and well maintained. We enjoyed the stay very much and would certainly book future stays in Kona at this unit.

First off, the property management company was very pleasant to work with. We needed to have an early check in and they were able to accommodate us right away when we landed in Kona. Prior to your trip, they will also provide you a list of suggestions on what to do in Kona which was very helpful. The property itself was exactly as it was described. It was very clean. The view of the ocean was the very best part of the condo. The only con was the pool was not available due to some renovations being made to it. (This was disclosed when we booked) But what I did not think about was the noise of the machines and pounding. They worked during the day so that was ok , just invaded a little into the tranquility of the mornings sometimes. However it did not change the fact that we were breathing in that wonderful ocean air daily. One other slight con was the couch in the living room. The cushions I felt could be replaced or deep cleaned. The condo came with everything you possibly needed...from essential spices and a stocked kitchen full of pots, pans, etc if you were going to cook, to laundry pods for laundry, to fresh Kona ground coffee beans, and beach equipment (chairs, boogie boards, snorkel stuff, etc.). It was the perfect place to enjoy your vacation. We were there for 8 days and it felt like home. The front room has the air conditioner but the bedroom did not so it was a little warmer there. There was a ceiling fan though and they also had a stand up fan that could be used. I suggest reading the contents in the binder provided in the kitchen to understand how to work the television. It was a little different, but the instructions were straight forward and we did not have to call the property manager to work it. The binder also has so many different suggestions of places to visit, eat, and things to do! The condo is located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants along Ali'i drive. There is a small beach outside of the condo that is easily accessible, but it is not really swimmable. There are lots of rocks. If you took the trolley a few miles up, you could get to the Magic Sands beach that is swimmable. It is a little on the smaller side though. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would come back to book again if available. It was like a home away from home.

Location, view and amenities exactly as advertised. Appreciated the beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equip etc . clothes drying rack (for wet suits towels), and even a yoga mat. Well equipped kitchen made breakfast and even a grilled dinner a breeze.

Great views! Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Would have liked to have the pool done with renovations. Very nice clean condo. We would definitely stay here again. Only other thing is it would be nice to have a ceiling fan in living room.

This place has everything that you need for a comfortable stay - fully stocked kitchen, linen closet, beach gear, laundry (!!), etc. Easy check-in. Very accessible to street with lots of restaurants, shops, bars. Lots of areas to work from if working remotely, just be aware if there is pool construction going on (which there was when we were there).

As advertised. Easy check in process. Good communication before you arrive. Right next to the ocean and a 10 minute walk into town.

I had never used airbnb before planning my summer’s trip to the Big Island so I was a little nervous about what it might be like. Staying in somebody else’s home for my vacation, especially since I was going to be staying for 5 weeks, was something I hadn’t ever considered doing before, but wanted to give it a whirl considering how much hotel charges and fees are nowadays. Let me tell you: my experience couldn’t have been any better! I fell in love with condo F-11 at the Kona Reef when I was scrolling through the listings and had high hopes I would be getting what was being advertised. When I arrived on my check-in day, everything was perfect! There was plenty of parking either outside or underneath in the garage. What I found when I walked in matched all the pictures on the listing to a T, if not better. The view was exactly as advertised, absolutely amazing I might add, and everything within the condo was even better than expected. The pictures showed some white appliances in the kitchen, but everything is currently stainless steel. The management company has a binder put together with all the resources you could ever need for your stay at this condo and some really great general information about traveling around the Big Island as well. There are plenty of dishes and utensils and pots and pans, especially for just the two of us that were here on this trip. There is a blender, coffee maker, toaster, 2 really nice knife sets, and a stainless steel teapot. There was a complimentary bag of 100% Kona Coffee beans waiting for us by the coffee maker and grinder and a couple bottles of water to get us started. There was even some basic cooking seasonings and oils in the pantry to use until we could stock up. Speaking of the pantry, there are several canvas Walmart bags to take with you when you go shopping because the stores typically charge for grocery bags if you need them. There is also a small fabric cooler if you just wanted to pack up a couple drinks and snacks to head down to the shoreline and a couple waterproof phone cases for your use. The furniture is nice and beachy and just as shown in the pictures. There are a couple board games and some playing cards if you’re having a night in, as well as some reading material and a stack of pamphlets and magazines about activities that are available to do on the island. The large television in the living area is a smart TV and we took advantage of the Netflix, hulu, and Youtube apps frequently, although the Charter channels available are very extensive. The lanai has the table and 4 chairs as well as a tote filled with all things beachy: snorkeling masks and fins and sand castle building accessories, as well as a handful of floating noodles for the pool and a few boogie boards for the beach. The bathroom is amazing, just as shown, as is the bedroom. There are plenty of bathroom towels and even had some complimentary shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap waiting for us, as well as a couple rolls of toilet paper. The king size bed and pillows are super comfy and I had no problems sleeping on my vacation. The dresser has 6 large drawers that easily accommodated all of our foldable clothing for the two of us. The closet has all kinds of extras for your stay including a couple of fans to put around the condo if you feel like conserving energy and not running the air conditioner, although it works really well. There are also towels for the pool, some exercise equipment, a couple foldable beach chairs, a yoga mat, the air mattress and pump that were advertised, a vacuum for cleaning up the pesky sand that tends to follow you everywhere, and a very tricky pop-up shade tent that you can take to the beach, which pops up very well, but takes a think-tank team to put back in the pouch. There were a couple of USB plug-in connectors in one of the bedside table drawers, which was nice of them to have available in case I didn’t bring my own. The TV in the bedroom is not a smart TV as far as we could tell, but does have all the Charter channels that the living room TV has for your enjoyment. The washer and dryer are in a closet in the hallway and are pretty new it seems and work very well. There were some basic cleaning supplies in the laundry closet, such as a broom, dustpan, and swiffer sweeper, as well as some detergent pods to help with a couple loads of laundry. There were also some dishwasher pods and household cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink to help out as well. The condo grounds in general were really great too. We definitely made use of the bar-b-q area frequently to grill up some dinner (there are 4 large, gas grills available for guest use) and the pool and hot tub are very nice. There is even a shower to wash off at the pool and a restroom if it becomes necessary. We discovered that there is a bin for recycling aluminum and plastic bottles down by the grills, so we were very thankful that we could use that and not have to throw them in the trash or try to find a recycling center while we were there. There are also 3 large dumpsters on site to dispose of your garbage in, which there were several garbage bags left for us to use while we were here in the condo. So basically, what I’m trying to say is we loved this condo and can’t wait to book it again in the future! The few quirks that it has are manageable: the ice machine in the freezer tends to

Our stay here was WOW! Parking was convenient, location to downtown, the pool and view is great and the unit is very spacious. This place was fully stocked with starter kits for cooking, washing dishes and even had some laundry detergent and dryer sheets for us to use. OH! And delicious Kona coffee greeted us in the morning! Such a treat! Did I mention the VIEW?! 😀 This unit is located next to one of the few smoking sections in the complex and all of the windows face that area, so if you are sensitive to smoke-beware! We had two ‘resident smokers’ that smoked from day break til sunset, so we couldnt use the windows. Aside from that, our stay was top-notch! I would definitey recommend and will consider this place for future trips.

This condo is in a great location! My boyfriend and I were able to walk everywhere we needed to. The condo itself is very cozy and clean and we enjoyed complimentary kona coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We even used the flippers and snorkel gear that was so graciously provided. We would totally stay here again. It's a perfect getaway and jumping off point to explore the touristy AND nature oriented parts of the island.
