Great condo for a family

Great condo for a family. The ground floor location, views to the ocean, and steps from the pool were ideal for our family vacation. There are many trails nearby and we ran/walked both south and north. The unit is very well stocked with every kitchen tool and appliance imaginable and all the beach gear you could want.

We stayed for two weeks at Hali'i Kai 12C. The unit is well appointed, with comfortable bedding, tasteful decor, and a reasonably well-supplied kitchen including spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, as well as detergents for laundry and dishwashing. The owner and/or property manager have thought through the little "details" that make a place comfortable and welcoming. The outdoor lanai faces southwest, perfect for late afternoon sun (although hot!!) and an excellent view of sunset. The unit is close to the amenities building, and has covered parking. The property manager was attentive and available when needed. The property itself is well maintained, although the pool/amenity area of Hali'i Kai is woefully undersized for the size of the property - there are close to two hundred condos (which seemed to be full when we were there in February - so at least four to five hundred people on site), yet fewer than fifty deck chairs at the pool, which means that every day was Hunger Games if you wanted a lounge chair in the amenity area (didn't matter what time of day). Strange, given that every unit pays for access to the amenity area; not sure where that revenue goes, but it is not on pool lounge chairs. The restaurant staff were great, and the food was good. We enjoyed our stay, but will not return because of the over-crowded amenity area. If access to the pool is not important to you, this is a great unit and we can highly recommend it.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and we loved the unit. Beautiful view and location near pool. The condo was very clean and well equipped. My husband commented multiple times about what a great job I did selecting the condo. I had stayed in the complex before with our daughter in a different unit. I hoped the restaurant and service would be as wonderful as I remembered pre-Covid and I was not disappointed. The pool restaurant was wonderful with great service. They had the best Pina Coladas on the island. We will definitely be back. Love the location!

Our first trip to the big island of hawaii was a success! This condo is PERFECT. Outside of the busy Kona area, but not too far that you can’t drive down to see it. Quiet, nice area. The hot tub and pool were amazing. You’re also on hole 6 of the Beach golf course, and we made sure to take advantage of being so close to such amazing golf courses. Would absolutely stay here again.

This place is fantastic. We stayed at the home for just under a week as a family of 4 (two little kids) and it worked really well. The condo was very clean and has a luxurious vibe throughout. The high end bathrooms/showers were a nice plus. The view is fantastic. We had our morning coffee outside every day and enjoyed drinks at night. (bring mosquito repellent for the nights). TVs in every room. Kitchen fully stocked including an espresso machine. Lots of beach equipment including snorkeling gear, 5-6 beach chairs, kids toys, umbrellas & ice chest. The hosts were very good at leaving very detailed instructions for getting to the home, checking in and checking out. The home is also nicely labeled so you know where things are and which light switches control what. Pool is very close by. If you want to go to the beach or do any shopping you will need to drive - which is how most of the condos are in Waikoloa. We will be back for sure!

This place was perfect in every way and made our stay on the Big Island complete. It was nice to have a comfortable home to come back to everyday where we knew we had everything we needed and it has a perfect ocean view of the sunset to complete our day. The location was great being right next to the pool and bar where we spent most sunsets. 49 Beach is an adventurous 20 minute walk over lava along the coast but a great beach for snorkeling. I definitely recommend this condo to anyone coming to the Big Island looking to stay in Waikoloa!

It was everything and more! It was one of the best stocked Airbnb condos/places we have ever stayed at. We loved that everything was labeled in the kitchen and had its place. Fabulous!

We came here for our kids’ spring break and were extremely happy with the Condo. It was perfect for our family! The condo was completely outfitted with all the things you might need for a day at the beach. Very close walking distance to the pool and club with a nice grassy area for kids to run around in and play out in the back of the condo. Close driving distance to the beautiful white sand beaches on the northern coast and still an easy drive to great snorkeling all along the Kona coast. The setting around Waikoloa resort is peaceful and never felt overly busy. We are looking forward to doing it again!
