The Hualalai Resort Spa will be undergoing enhancements to the outdoor aqua-thermal areas of both the men’s and women’s locker rooms. During this time, massage, body, and facial treatments will be temporarily relocated to the Makaloa Villa. Guests will continue to have access to the infrared sauna, hot tub, and pool, with a temporary cold plunge and infrared sauna also available near the Spa Lap Pool.

Besides visiting the beaches at the resort, you’ll want to head 30 minutes north to award-winning Hapuna Beach, excellent for both sunbathing and swimming, with powdery white sand and crystal blue water (beach gear is provided in the unit). If you like your beaches with a side of hiking, meander along the rocky lava fields to Mahai’ula beach, or continue along the path to the usually secluded Makalawena beach, where if you’re lucky you might spot a turtle in the water or a monk seal sunning on the beach. Finally, adrenaline junkies will have the time of their life ziplining over the tops of the forest in Kohala, a truly one-of-a-kind way to experience the beauty of the Big Island.

Access to Resort amenities is available to our guests for an additional fee per person per day, subject to seasonal restrictions. From 2025 to January 3, 2026, the daily resort guest fee ranges from $75 to $230 per person, plus taxes. Guests can opt-in for Resort access for a minimum of 2 consecutive days, with the entire household required to participate.
