Ali'i Point #9

The house is amazing. We had such a wonderful time. Such an incredible view.

First, the great parts: this is hands down the best view in Kona proper. Southwest facing, unobstructed 200 (MORE than 180) degree ocean view that is nothing short of breathtakingly spectacular. Daily dolphin pods and whales passing by as you chill in the infinity edge pool. Lots of gathering space downstairs, with a TV + couches situation, a large seating area containing a massive coffee table (great for puzzles!), with a calming fish pond and waterfall as a centerpiece to all of it. Large kitchen with great quality appliances off the main area. Primary king bed suite is massive with its own seating area and killer views! Queen bedroom also has great views. Third king bedroom is ample enough, though moderately so. AC in bedrooms. Location of house is brilliant in that it is far enough from the touristy center but right across the street from a solid farmers market (Berry Bird  there does great coffee).  

The not so great: no AC downstairs, as others have warned, and it gets warm.

Crashing waves, orange sunsets, a tranquil breeze, and a refreshing pool to brave the hot days. On an island where views abound no matter where you venture, this house was so stunning we always wanted to stay at home. The decor is minimal and modern yet comfortable and designed to handle beach and pool time with ease. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and convenient layout of the main floor with sliding doors that opened up entirely to capture the ocean air and sounds of the koi pond. A/C in the bedrooms was a must on warm summer nights, but we otherwise enjoyed the classic open air Hawai’i architecture. Location is perfect — peaceful surroundings at home but conveniently located near town shops, restaurants, and snorkel/surf spots. A hui hou!

Amazing views and super comfortable! Clean and everything was accessible.

Our family enjoyed staying at this updated oceanfront home at Ali’i Point. Dinners on the deck with incredible sunset views. Whales every day. Bedrooms had great AC. House was very clean. Quiet with only the crashing waves in the background. We would drive to a beach in the morning. Plenty of great beaches within a 45 minute drive. I let hosts know about a few small things to fix after we left and they were receptive and grateful. Great communication overall. We have stayed in various oceanfront homes on Kona over the years. This one was priced a bit higher for 3 bedrooms and no direct access to a beach, but felt private, clean and had outstanding shoulder to shoulder views of the ocean.

we had a great stay - good communication and very precise instructions. Private and peaceful setting in a gated residential community. An easy drive to Mauna Kea - we left at 3:30 AM and were there by 5:15, ready and waiting when they opened the road to the top at 5:30 AM. Plenty of dining options nearby and a great kitchen if you prefer to cook your own. Outdoor space was a major highlight with fantastic views from the pool deck.

This home was exactly as pictured. We spent every evening watching the sun set from the hot tub. During the day we opened up all of the doors/walls downstairs and the cross breeze was amazing. Fully stocked kitchen and toiletries. If you want a rental house that gives you the full island experience with the most beautiful view we’ve ever seen, this is the one.

Absolute paradise! This home was one of the best AirBnB's we've ever stayed at. It is beautiful, clean, exactly as described - if not better, in a picture-perfect location and has a great layout. The hosts were responsive and friendly and graciously accommodated an early check in and late check out. After traveling several hours to get to Hawaii, walking into this gorgeous home was the best way to start the trip. Our kids loved the infinity pool overlooking the ocean as well as the courtyard koi pond. Accordion glass doors allowed the warm breeze to flow through while we were inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lap pool within the complex where I swam multiple mornings. The location itself is fantastic. Outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona in a small private gated community, but close enough that beaches and restaurants didn't feel too far. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a luxury beachfront Big Island

You cannot get any closer to the crashing surf than this house. Absolutely amazing! Whales swimming by all day long, dolphins jumping and spinning just off the coast, outrigger canoes paddling back and forth. These are just a few of the highlights, not to mention incredible sunsets that go on forever. The house is immaculately appointed with everything that you could want or need. Very private and quiet, save for the ocean sounds. A great privilege and opportunity to experience something most could never even dream of. Excellent!

Beautiful house! Enjoyed our stay. Ali’i Point location provides you a great view and waves constantly crashing. Great layout of the house although not much shaded outdoor area in the back is a little draw back. In the evening if you want to watch TV it’s hard to do so without closing the doors due to sound from waves and koi pond but then it gets warm as this area is unable to be air conditioned (minor complaint). Bedrooms are very comfortable and nicely air conditioned for sleeping. Overall a great experience and hopefully we’ll get to stay here again!

Out of this world.

We were nervous because we thought there was no way this house could be as perfect as the pictures. It was even better!You cannot find a better view. We stayed during tropical storm Darby and the waves were AMAZING! We saw dolphins swim by during the mornings and the sunsets were beautiful. The only thing that could have made it better was air conditioning on the main level, but it was manageable with the house opened up. We will definitely be booking this house for our next trip to the Big Island!

Absolutely amazing! Really easy to work with and a great house! We had one very minor question during our stay and they sent someone out within about 15 minutes, and it wasn't even necessary. Would highly recommend!

We stayed with our two adult sons, their wives, and our 18-month-old grandchild and had a wonderful time! The house is gorgeous! It’s right off the ocean. You can hang in the pool and watch dolphins and whales swim by every day. The enormous master bedroom suite was perfect for our son/daughter-in-law/grandchild to all sleep in. The management for this house was very responsive and even recommended a vendor that rented all the baby gear needed for the house (even safety gates). The kitchen, Koi pond, pool, two living rooms, BBQ…everything was amazing!

This home was fabulous for our extended family. We would highly recommend staying here.

This home is absolutely beautiful. The view, the pool, the location, the gorgeous kitchen, in home fountain and pond, all are just incredible. The master bedroom suite is huge and just wonderful. Other bedrooms too. The location close to town is perfect. Add the fact we watched a whale 800 yards out breech 25 times and thats the icing on the cake.

Comfortable house for three couples. Love how all the walls of the house open up. We mostly wanted to be at the house just sitting on the patio watching the amazing view and the waves crash up on the rocks right in front of us. We plan on staying at this house again we liked it so much.

Beautiful home, in a great location with an off the charts panoramic ocean view. Three couples were very comfortable. We loved the layout with multiple gathering or quiet spaces and seamless connection to the lanai and ocean. Kailua Kona has so much to do.

The location and the ocean-front made the stay. The pool was also fantastic but needs some work in places as the plaster is starting to wear. We felt that we really didn't want to go anywhere and instead stay at the house and enjoy the sounds of the ocean, the waves crashing into the rocks, the breeze and the view! The only issues we had were with the a/c in the 2 smaller bedrooms, which did not work. The manager responded right away and sent a technician over but there was a broken part and we didn't have these functioning during our stay.

Nothing can beat sitting in the pool or jacuzzi and watching the sunset. The view from this house is spectacular! The house itself is amazing, with lots of space and a very well supplied kitchen. Highly recommended.

This house has a beautiful design. Every space is perfect. Being able to open the glass walls makes it even more special. The view & the sunsets were heavenly!

Definitely accurate photos. Only 3 bedrooms but the house is gigantic with vaulted ceilings, enormous master and main level. The stairs up to the bedrooms are open air with open hallway to master, really impressive. The direct ocean pool with hot tub was a huge hit with our adult daughters and so convenient to walk to open air market across the street. The beds were all amazing comfort. ~ Mahalo!!

Phenomenal views of waves splashing over the lava rocks, rainbows and gorgeous sunsets all from the infinity pool!! House has everything you need to simply enjoy Hawaii. Perfect for family!

The property was incredible. Beautiful home and views - absolutely stunning. The property had so many small touches that made the experience even better. Pool floats, handy beach towels and a fully equipped kitchen to suit any need. We’ll be back!

Absolutely gorgeous oceanfront home near town of Kona. The layout of the house was perfect four our family and the infinity pool overlooking the ocean was breathtaking.

Right on the ocean. Views are wonderful. There is even a place along the side of the house to avoid strong afternoon sun. The surprise was no air conditioning downstairs. Instead the home requires all doors to be open to capture the ocean breezes. Something my daughter in law really appreciated. Getting rid of garbage required a hunt and long walk. Aside from that, the house is a great rent.
