Blue Hawaii

This house was absolutely amazing and had everything we needed to accommodate our party of 10. We definitely did not want to leave.

Holy smokes! This place absolutely took our breath away and we were LOATHE to have to leave it- even though we had the second leg of our vacation to get to, we had to leave this beautiful wild island and stunning home. Y'all, there was everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals, there was beach and pool gear out the wazoo in the garage, the bedrooms were ice cold with A/C, and even the nooks and crannies of the bathrooms and kitchen were spotlessly clean. Yes, this place is expensive. But You. Will. Regret. Nothing. Thank you to the Gather company for making this a great one and thank you to the owners for sharing it with us!

I absolutely loved everything about this home! It’s a beautiful location that’s very private and peaceful. The views are beautiful. The house itself is very comfortable. We particularly loved opening all of the sliding doors and having that combined indoor/outdoor feeling. The pool was surprisingly deep and just the right size. The property managers were super quick to respond and super nice! I highly recommend this place. I would definitely stay here again.

Definitely book this place, it is PARADISE ON EARTH!! 

We could not get over how beautiful the view was and how quiet our mornings were. It was squeaky clean, not even a speck of dirt anywhere, which is very impressive. 

The kitchen was massive for all 14 of our guests and we enjoyed dinners outside by the pool. It is 100% a luxury stay!

This house was amazing. My family and I enjoyed  and wished we stayed longer. They were very accommodating and offered great services. I would recommend this house to friends and family.

My friends and I stayed here after a work trip to the Big Island. I will just say the photos don't do it justice. The home had absolutely everything you could think of and we always felt right at home. The hosts are incredibly proactive even when I was busy with work, I never had to reach out to get concise, clear instructions. I cannot recommend this home enough- the amenities, view, ALL OF IT!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Hawaii! It was the perfect size for our group of ten, as everyone had their own private rooms. The beds were super comfortable and the pool and outdoor dining space was a daily highlight. The welcome bag was a nice added touch and we appreciated that there was an iron and many beach day amenities provided; coolers, umbrella, beach towels, chairs, and float. The only challenge we had was an inoperable dishwasher, which they promptly responded too, replaced and compensated us for the inconvenience.

my sister and I stayed there for three days while we were waiting for my rental house to be ready. We loved the home so much that we would bring our family back to stay there. Beautiful home loved the pool and the views, and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Place and amenities were very nice! Very accommodating for a large group. Neighborhood and gate security all very friendly. Would definitely return! Our group had an amazing time! The driveway is as expected based on the instructions given ahead of time but we were able to prepare well. Would absolutely recommend!

This is a fantastic house with lots of space for a large family and plenty of bathrooms. The view from every room is incredible. Two negatives: The driveway is very aggressive, but you get the hang of it quickly. The pool was too cold to swim in, but that is no one's fault. We had a wonderful time, but it was hard to leave.

We had such a nice stay, thank you! The house had everything and then some.. very comfortable for our 8 adults and 5 children. We did have a little struggle with having enough hot water at times but in hindsight we probably should’ve waited until evening to do laundry or run the dishwasher. Seemed like one or the other was always going! The recommendation for an SUV is legit, the driveway is definitely steep (but definitely doable!) Communication was excellent. thanks for everything!

Loved our stay at Blue Hawaii in Kona! Amazing sunsets every night and the house was perfect for our group of 9 (5 adults and 4 kids). The only comment I have is that I think the beds in the room with 2 Queens are actually Full size beds. It was a little tight to have 2 adults in a bed in that room. The driveway is steep, but we had no issues with a Jeep Wrangler and a Ford Expedition clearing the driveway.

This was just perfect for our extended family - grandparents, two couples, and children 6,8,10. The place was spotless and beautiful! Perfect base for seeing all the amazing things the island has to offer and a great spot for downtime. The pool was lovely. Communication with managers was quick and informative. Definitely recommend the SUV for the driveway (and good for other mountain/park driving.)

House was perfect for our group. Elite hosts were wonderful leading up to the trip with all the information. House was clean and well-stocked. Location was great. Driveway was steep but not as bad as some of the reviews. Sunsets were beautiful. Kids loved the pool. Hot water was at a premium, so get up first to shower ? 5 stars for this place. Would come back! Our family gathered together to celebrate my sister's 65th birthday. Our mother is from Oahu so it made it special to celebrate it here in Kona Hawaii. The house was perfect which added to our Kona experience. Every room was clean, comfortable, and full of additives for every necessity, and the infinity pool and immaculate views were to die for. The sunset was one of the best I have ever witnessed from a vacation home. I would recommend this house to any family looking for the perfect vacation home.

We loved everything about this place…except the drive way but small price to pay for wonderful location. The pool was great with beautiful sunsets! Loved the outdoor table that could fit most of us, which we could have figured out the fan above it but didn’t distract from how amazing it was! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

The property was very nice and definitely had enough room for the amount of people that were staying with us. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend having someone stay on the pullout couch with the living room just because its not a seperate space so if you’re staying with a big group and everyone is getting up at separate times it makes it tough. The driveway is VERY steep, there was warning of that before checking in though.

Wonderful visit

This beautiful vacation home exceeded our expectations, as did the service and furnishings. If anything, the descriptions were understated as to elegance and attention to detail. The home was perfect for a three generational family of 11 who prepared most of their own meals and truly appreciated how most every appliance, tool and utensil was already there. Everyone loved it and we were able to spread out into subgroups when we wanted to be. Very comfortable and excellent instructions provided as well. Appreciate the kindness of management in accommodating a special request cheerfully and quickly. Yes, the driveway is a challenge you need to be prepared for. But, if you are, you will love this place.Would definitely stay at Blue Hawaii again if the opportunity arises.

The place is exactly like the photos and we were so happy and comfortable staying here. We didn’t feel like we were on top of each other, and the pool was nice to relax in after a long day.

My family of 11 ranging in age from 10 to 60+ stayed here recently, and it was wonderful! The house is gorgeous, and the view is spectacular, especially at sunset. There was plenty of space for all of us. It was a short 10 minute drive to Captain Cook, shops in Kona, numerous restaurants, and just 5 minutes to the grocery store. It was within 5 minutes to coffee farms, chocolate farms, beaches, and other activities that we did. There were plenty of towels for the pool and beach as well as toys and floats. Check in was keyless and a breeze. Management checked in a few times via text during our stay to make sure all was well. The only downsides were the driveway was tricky, and the hot water could sometimes run out during showers. SUV is a must and be comfortable driving a larger vehicle to maneuver the steep angled driveway. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the Big Island!

The location, view, home, and whole experience was perfect! The driveway is a little terrifying as others have said, especially when arriving at night, but the whole neighborhood is the same way, the view more than makes up for it. The house is immaculate, very clean, and we felt so at home. The only recommendation I would make to the management company is to have the dryer vent cleaned as it’s very loaded with lint, a bit of a fire hazard. The gift bag when we walked in was a very nice touch! Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

A spectacular view of the sunset as it reflects on the water and peeks through the palm trees. A beautiful pool that was the highlight for our 13-year old who loves the water. The driveway challenged our driving skills.

Nice modern home with all the fixin’s. Pool, privacy and more. Great sunsets! Love the modern bathrooms.

The was pool was very cold. We are from Alaska and it was darn cold for us. We did use the pool to cool off but did not spend a long time in it. We would recommend getting a little ice maker. The refrigerator does not supply very much ice . One other thing, the burners on the stove need to be checked. It doesn’t burn correctly, smells and turns the bottom of the pots and pans BLACK.

Very beautiful home, the driveway is incredibly steep--you will need 4WD. The kitchen was stocked well compared to other airbnb's, close to all the main stores and restaurants in Kona so the location is great. The house is filled with a lot of amenities such as kid's toys, a giant cooler, and soooo many towels. Would recommend!

The only drawback is the driveway, otherwise it was very comfortable and the pool was a big plus for the grandkids!

This place is perfect for big families! 3 bedrooms and a lot of couches you can turn into beds. They provided so many pool and beach toys for both adults and kids to enjoy! The service to book for tours and transfers was the best. Thank you, Malia!

Beautiful home with spectacular sunset views. Ate outside every night to capture evening beauty it offers. Perfect home for accommodating a larger family. Perfect location; easily accessible to many things. A SUV is a must for this driveway. Very steep and will bottom out anything that’s too low to ground.

As good as advertised. Amazing, really. Please be aware the driveway is unusually steep. Rent an SUV! And be sure to catch the sunsets.

This trip celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and wow, did we choose the perfect home! We watched the most gorgeous sunsets over the ocean right from our patio. The house is impeccably decorated and there is nothing left to chance. Fully stocked gourmet kitchen and an awesome outdoor grill. The beds were so comfortable! I suppose the best part was having lots of space to accommodate 6 people so we never felt crowded. In all of our travels, it was such a welcoming place to come home to. Security was extremely friendly and helpful. The location of this home was perfect - minutes from the shopping district and great restaurants. Our only negative was the driveway entrance. Management warned us several times that they suggest renting an SUV otherwise you may scrape bottom.Due to a huge influx of tourists there were no SUVs to be had. We had a Ford Fusion and my daughter had a Buck Enclave. We both scrapped bottom and by the looks of the abundance of marks we weren't alone. After that I had everyone exit the car at the top and I drove empty as far left as i could and didn't scrape most of the time, Upon checkout I took both of our heavy suitcases to the top and my wife climbed the steep driveway. After I arrived we loaded everything and headed for KOA. As you can see our stay was almost perfect except for the driveway. A small thing to fix would make your stay truely perfect !

AMAZING Airbnb - the house is even better than the pictures! This was the perfect location for our group to stay in Kona, it's close to the town and secluded in a beautiful community near the ocean. The bedrooms are huge and the pool was everyone's favorite part. Customer service was great as well, with easy to communicate with office managers. Everyone was super friendly! Only watch out is the driveway - make sure you rent a SUV because the steep driveway is hard to pull out of. Would 100% stay here again!

This house was perfect for our family group of 13! There was enough bath and beach towels for all of us. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The bbq in the backyard was large enough to cook for our large family. They provided a second propane tank for the grill and said it was filled but we discovered it was not when we were in the middle of grilling so I do recommend you check the propane tanks before you start grilling! Beautiful house and location. I look forward to returning some day!

Pictures don’t do the property justice. There wasn’t anything we needed that the property did not provide. We had a gorgeous sunset barbecue, and several days/nights of incredible memories. Priceless!

This house and it's neighborhood were luxurious. We've stayed in many nice homes, this was easily the highest on the high end scale. For a rental property, often you find things little worn or ready for upgrades. Not this home, it's amazing, well kept, and exudes luxury. No question in our minds that we'd stay here again and highly recommend it to others. The hosts were fantastic, responsive, and had great information for us. It's a five of five star rating and it was pleasure to stay here. Plus, it was a great and safe location to see everything.

The property was absolutely stunning, the house was equipped with everything you can think of and our hosts were incredibly responsive. The garden & pool are beautifully maintained, superclean and very private. The property is in a gated community, so it felt really safe. On top of everything, you look right onto the Sunset every night! Our stay felt like paradise and we can’t wait to come back!
