Blue Water

Awesome place to spend the holidays. Definitely was exactly what we needed. The house was unlike anything we’ve stayed in before. Having the bedrooms separate from the main living space was a totally new experience for us. Having the ability to open all the sliding doors on the main floor was amazing. Open air living in paradise. Being in a gated community was great. We could walk down to the Bayfront very easily and enjoy everything it offered. The kids spent hours playing in the pool and enjoying the oceanfront. Walking the seawall down to Keiki beach was easy. Definitely would stay here again. 10/10

Beautiful view and the host was very flexible! The house was very well kept!

The location was great and the house was clean. The main room didn’t have air conditioning but the rest of the rooms did. That said, opening the main room doors helped cool down the area quite a lot. The management team was fantastic. They were extremely responsive and helpful, even after hours and after we had returned from our trip.

Great View, the communication about the property was first class. No complaints. Would do it again.

Location was perfect for the Ironman World Championships in Kona. Beautiful house and comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice to have a washer and dryer.

Pictures are accurate and can’t really capture the beauty of the view and outdoor lanai area! Very comfortable home. AC in bedrooms worked well at night. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. Grill is hard-lined, so no worry about propane level. Plenty of dishes and serving platters/bowls. Pool and hot tub (not jetted, but nice and warm) stay very clean with whatever filter system they use. Opening up all of the doors on all sides when you’re home is lovely! Outdoor dining table is perfect for meals during sunset. Path in front of home to Queen’s Bath (small beach) is easy and a great place for a nice swim (watch out for urchins!). Very convenient to airport, Costco, Target, groceries, restaurants/shops on Ali’i Drive. Washer/dryer worked really well. Great pool towels and flat, sand-free beach towels provided. Big closet with beach/pool equipment/toys left by previous guests (we contributed, too!). Check closet before renting any equipment. I was worried that pond/fountain would mean more bugs, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Sound of water flowing over rocks and into pond is so relaxing. We felt very safe in the gated neighborhood. Having a code (rather than keys) for all of the doors was very convenient. Communication with management about any questions we had during our stay was very efficient and thorough.

Such a beautiful house and property with fantastic sunset views. We saw whales spouting and some playful dolphins. Short walk to a nice sandy beach for our two-year-old. Pickleball was in walking distance as well as many shops and restaurants. We were nervous about the gated community aspect, but it was super easy and not an issue. The indoor space was huge and nicely appointed. The house worked well for our 8 adults and one child. The loft bedroom was up a winding stairway and proved to be not so difficult for bathroom runs in the night using the half bath restroom on the first floor. Pretty views from the loft too. We ran into an issue with the hot tub. The property manager was very responsive and kind about it and gave us a discount for the inconvenience. The house is close to both the airport in Kona and Costco. The kitchen was great for cooking and was definitely the heart of the home along with the stunning outdoor space.

As advertised. Hot tub didn’t work but everything else was in working order and very enjoyable. I would rent this place again for sure and tell anyone else looking at it to “ just do it”!

We absolutely enjoyed our VRBO. The property was perfect for our stay. It was within walking distance of downtown, beautiful sunsets, whale watching and a perfect walk everyday to the beach.

Outstanding property

This place was outstanding! It looked just like the pictures, was very peaceful, had a great view of the ocean and a lovely private pool and hot tub. My family enjoyed viewing the tide pools directly in front of the house and visiting the lagoon which was just a short jaunt down the shoreline. We had such an amazing time on the Big Island ❤️ Thank you!

This was our first stay at Blue Water. The home is great and accommodated our large family very well. Our kids loved the pool. The large kitchen opening to the back patio, seating and grill was also a great layout. Wonderful ocean view with an easy drive (or walk if preferred) into town. We would stay here again.

Amazing house in perfect location!! It has everything you need for a fantastic stay, beautiful views, comfortable beds and close to town and coffee/places to eat. We loved our time as a family here.

House was in a beautiful oceanfront location with beautiful lava rock shoreline and a small beach area nearby. Near downtown Kailua Kona and plenty of restaurants, etc. Rules about AC/wearing shoes may seem unreasonable but weren't difficult, left sandals at door. Living area was best left open. Management was very responsive when WiFi not functional, etc. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful, relaxing and fun

Place is gorgeous! Pictures don't do it justice. Close to everything needed. Well stocked and breathtaking! Will def stay again 🙂

We had a wonderful stay and would stay again in the future. The location is close to the airport and the fun waterfront shops as well as close to many staples like Target and grocery stores. The house is definitely starting to get dated and signs of the oceans wear and tear are visible in places. Kitchen had nice updated appliances and was very well stocked with necessities plus extras (toaster, blender, instapot). The pool and hot tub were clean and there were pool and beach toys/chairs available for use. We did not have any issue with the people using the path behind the house, but could understand why folks would feel it is not entirely private. We just smiled and waved and spread the Aloha. The small neighborhood beach is an easy 5 minute walk down the same path. Sunsets on the patio are unforgettable. Overall a great place to stay!

RE Company did a great job, and house was clean and well stocked. Only negative was the house has a walkway in front with about 5 groups per hour that walk by (mostly neighbors or other renters), but it takes away from the oceanfront privacy. In spite of that, I'd stay here again 🙂

Our family really enjoyed our 5days mini-vacation here in this beautiful oceanfront home. It is so convenient to the mini farmer market, restaurants, beaches and only 20 mins away from the airport. a walking distance to a sand beach with a good spot for surfing just around the corner. If you have a 2 family of 8 people. I would rather stay at this home with more room, comfort, and privacy comparing to other resorts. A wonderful home and very amazing property. We felt the Aloha the minute we walked through the entry. We've been coming to the Big Island for over 25 years and have been to many properties. This home is by far one of my top new favorites. We celebrated moms 90th Birthday and It was just a wonderful experience. The ocean waves, the awesome sunsets and ohana. What more could you ask for. We loved this property. Previous reviews had some negative comments and I didn't experience anything negative. House is well stocked and very clean (it is on the ocean so a little corrosion and rust is normal to me) Open air (all doors worked perfectly). Pool is very clean, hot tube could be warmer but the weather was warm when we were there so it was not a negative. I wish there were more bar stools for the kitchen and maybe a second couch in the main living area. I would definitely book this house again, we rent at least two houses per year in the Kona area and this is the first house I would do a repeat stay at.

The house was even better than we expected. What an incredible place to spend some time on vacation. The sunsets over the ocean from the pool are truly breathtaking.

Great place! Our family had a fun time. Close to everything but still quiet.
