Casa Makara

The location was perfect! Down the street from Queens bath and so many other beautiful beaches. The amenities were great and when questions asked the responses were quick. We will back!

We had an amazing time at casa Makara. It had everything we needed. All the toys in the garage made our stay!

Casa Makara was wonderful! The beach equipment and toys were so key- just great!

This was the perfect place for our multi-generational family to enjoy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed (even a crockpot!), the garage had all the beach supplies for us to use (snorkels, boogie boards, cooler, chairs, umbrellas etc), lots of puzzles and games for the rainy afternoons and that view of the mountain was a highlight! The beds were very comfortable, a/c was nice to have and everything was very clean. The management company was very quick to respond to my questions. Make note- the garage fit two full size cars, anything bigger might be really tight.

The rental was well stocked with everything we needed- kitchen, beach stuff, games etc. It was the perfect location and the view was spectacular. It was clean. Communication with management company was fantastic! By far our favorite rental we have stayed at!

Everything was really clean and comfortable.  It felt like home.  We really enjoyed the location as well the beach amenities. We will definitely be back.

This place was an absolute dream to stay in. Our large family fit comfortably in the spacious home, and it provided all the amenities we needed for a wonderful visit. The location was perfect—close to beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Will definitely be back!!

Great place to stay at

My five friends and I booked this property for a "girls' trip" in May 2025. The communication from the property company was great. The house was immaculate, and we all agreed that the kitchen was better stocked than our own kitchens at home! Loved that they had a few condiments in the kitchen and laundry supplies. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. The location was great. Would definitely recommend the property and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our party of eight included two families who stayed for a total of 11 days. This condo is spacious and very well appointed for comfort and convenience. The kitchen is well stocked for every conceivable need. The rooms are comfortable and we all felt at ease during our stay. The garage is also well stocked for days at the beach including beach chairs, shade umbrellas, boogie boards, and beach toys. When we asked questions of the host, they were extremely responsive and helpful.

We absolutely loved staying at Casa Makara. The location is great with proximity to everything we wanted to do, as well as having such a beautiful pool area. The neighborhood is immaculate and beautifully landscaped. What we enjoyed most about Casa Makara was all the beach towels that were provided, as well as the shampoo, conditioner, beach toys, coolers etc.  Lots of boogie boards, beach wagon, & chairs.  Thanks so much for a great stay!

Totally exceedingly expectations! I feel like the photos didn’t do the place justice. I’ll start with the house itself: it was awesome. We had 2 couples and 3 kids. That little bonus bunkbed room was awesome so everyone could have a bed to themselves and there were doors that closed. House was super clean and had everything we needed and then some. I totally thought I’d be entering a pretty bare house based off of the photos but it had so many extras like boogie boards, sand toys, chairs, umbrella, canopy, wagon, snorkel stuff, kitchen gadgets, spices, plenty of shampoo and conditioner, beach towels, laundry soap. The garage was big enough to fit our mini van. It is a townhome which I don’t think I realized from the photos so you are connected to a neighbor. But the neighborhood was super quiet and the neighbor was really friendly and quiet as well. The location was amazing. I loved running on the path next to the golf course that was right by the house. Princeville was a fabulous location to stay at and I don’t think I’ll stay anywhere else from now on. The property management was great to work with as well. Super responsive and detailed with the upcoming trip and giving me all the info I needed. When checking in I didn’t realize the keypad was right above the door handle. Totally my fault but I ended up calling at about 6 pm panicked that the code wasn’t working and someone answered right away and patiently waited for me to stop being an idiot and find the keypad.

We got to spend an amazing 2.5 weeks in the North Shore. This home, and it truly felt like our own home away from home, gave us the perfect relaxing and central place to see all of the north shore, from Tunnels to Kilauea. We have two young kids and had plenty of space (as well as toys and beach gear) for extended family to join us, which is a first for us given we’ve only used resorts prior to this trip. We’ve visited Maui or Kauai every year since our kids were big enough to fly - we won’t be going back to Kauai resorts and plan on coming back here going forward.

We had three generations staying there ranging from late 60s to 6 months. The house was perfect. They had great equipment for the beach, a port a crib, high chair, great children’s books and some toys. Nice pool and a great location. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved staying at Casa Makara!! This was our first time in Kauai and the house made it feel truly luxurious and relaxing! We loved the modern decor yet homey feel of the property, the kitchen had everything we needed, the garage was stocked of pool and beach toys, boogie boards and surf boards, and the layout of the property allowed for everyone to have a great space to be together as well as spend some time apart. The two balconies on each “wings” of the property made it very special!! We also loved how close everything was! The management staff was always helpful and available. A sweet touch of Hawaiian chocolates and cookies waiting for us on the kitchen table was a very thoughtful touch!

First off my family has stayed in about a dozen different homes/resorts/VRBOs/ Airbnb /condos and so far this has hands down been the best house and environment we have ever stayed in on the islands. Amazing house, kid and adult friendly, laundry, dishes, cooking, etc. We cannot express enough how fantastic this house was and how perfect it was for our family. We plan on making this an annual trip to 21A!
