Was a perfect place to stay right before our friends wedding. Nice and big with enough bed and bathrooms. Was very responsive

Yes  it had some amazing amenity available for use.  My only suggestions is to replace or get rid of the beach chairs as some of them are not in the best shape and suitable for use.

Very nice location with literally 5 min walk to the beach, quiet street corner with no through traffic.

House is a bit dated but had everything we needed, and beds were really comfortable. Probably hosts can replace old cutting boards and add larger pan.

We really appreciate hosts letting us to do early check-in and late checkout to accommodate baby nap. Recommend this place to other folks.

4.9/5. The only thing I would have changed is the lack of central A/C. Each bedroom had its own AC unit, so sleeping was comfortable, but the common areas were quite warm. Other than that the house was wonderful. The location was quiet but convenient, and had all the things we needed for a great stay.

Perfect house for our group of seven (two couples and three singles). Plenty of space and  everything we needed for a week. Walking distance to a great beach, it was everything we needed

Perfect for our multi-generational family of ten.

6 of us stayed a week. The house had plenty of room and parking for all of us. Extremely clean and just wonderful in every way. 5 minute walk to Magic Sands Beach.

With 10 people, it can be extremely difficult to stay in one place, but there rooms were set up perfectly for large groups. Having 4 bathrooms was huge! Not only did everyone feel comfortable within their own space, but the house came equipped with a cooler, corn hole, beach chairs, ample beach towels and snorkel gear. We were minutes from the beach/shops, and there was plenty of parking for days we wanted to relax at the house. There was something for everyone. After an exhausting trip full of fun, the host even offered a late checkout so that we didn’t have to go to the airport 5 hours early. That to me, shows the care they have for their guests. They reached out everyday to make sure our stay earned the 5 stars I am giving now and I can honestly say there were no negatives about this house. We are so grateful for everything and will be back soon

This was a great home for our large family. The neighborhood is peaceful, the home, comfortable. We were there for Halloween, so the kids had fun giving out fruit snacks to the few trick or treaters we had. We didn’t discover the switch outside one of the upstairs bedrooms for the whole house fan until the day before we left. That was a game changer for the ground level temperature. Haha!!

This property is in a perfect location. Just a quick walk to the beach and to the trolley that takes you into town where you can shop and find any restaurant/bar. The home is clean and can fit your whole family very comfortably. Highly recommend renting this place for your next family adventure!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this vacation home! Everything was clean and perfect for our family of nine. We felt very comfortable at this home and were sad to leave this home. We had a wonderful family vacation at Hale A Kai. There was plenty of sleeping space for our extended family of 7 adults and 2 small children. The house was well equipped and had ample beach gear and equipment. Easy walk to Magic beach. Minor items of missing dust pan, lack of cleaning instructions for spa and could have more seating in living room but overall great experience and would come again. Mahola.

It was a pretty nice stay for our first time in Hawaii! Plenty of sleeping space for everyone! Plenty of towels, too! The A/C in each sleeping room was phenomenal! No A/C downstairs in the kitchen/living room space so it got pretty hot when cooking meals. However, the ceiling fans and having the doors open helped! The kids enjoyed playing corn-hole and running outside in the yard! The location of the house is quiet and very peaceful and the beach is 3 minutes away!

Conveniently located to the beach but offered privacy! Clean and spacious. We appreciated having basic supplies available and toys to play in the ocean that was within walking distance. Highly recommend for family gatherings!

Location is centrally located to shops, restaurants and beaches. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. Kind of wish there was another TV or 2 but we slept 11 people, including kids very comfortably with beds to spare. Bedrooms are large and bathrooms were a plenty making it very easy for multiple people to shower, etc. The jacuzzi and outside shower was a nice bonus. Kitchen had plenty of pots, cookware and utensils to use. My only complaint was no bath mats inside the tubs. Trying to shower with my 1 year old daughter was tough not to slip and fall on her or fall while holding her. Overall, we had a very nice stay and felt comfortable.

So much to say. The kitchen is well stocked - everything you could need is there. Well, we did go to Good Will and got a slow cooker. The entertainmnet supplies and beach equipment was nice. Previous guests didn't always clean up the sand. Hopfuly we left it better than we receied it. Management was quick to assist us when we needed it. This home is well equipped if you're traveling with little children. I definitely would recommend this for a group or family gathering.

Sweet house in a nice location. Seating outside, shower in the side yard, house fan, A/C in the bedrooms, all really nice. Highly recommend Kahalu'u Beach Park just down the road for easy snorkeling.

Perfect location and house for a vacation. Well accommodated with a number a beds, grill, garage, and full kitchen. Enjoyed every moment we stayed there. Would highly suggest and recommend this place again for fun and eventful vacation.

Amazing and beautiful home. 9 of us total and plenty of room and beds. We had a disabled grandmother who could easily get around the main lower level. A little bit of a walk to the beach to far for disabled but easily done with young kids. Great hot tub in private area in back yard. We would come back again

Hale A Kai was perfect for my family's vacation. They leave a good starter package of essentials, and there seems like there's even more sleeping room than advertised! Perfect location to see everything Kona has to offer. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay in Kona! I was here on a work trip and perfect for myself and two co-workers as we had our own room and bathroom. Great water pressure in the shower. The property is right off Ali'i Drive which was great for my morning runs. There are bike lanes so running was easy and beautiful to be running next to the ocean. The location was a great base for us to venture off to many activities. Waikoloa Village was about 35 minutes away but if you are looking for an amazing beach, you don't have to go that far, you can visit Makalawena Beach was about 15 min away and well worth the effort to get there because you have to drive over a rocky road and then about a mile or so walk to the beach but the well worth it! Oh and there were plenty of beach towels which was great! I think 2 in each room. I am not a cook so I didn't really use the kitchen but I did use the blender and my colleagues used the coffee maker. One thing to note about Kona, don't think because you don't see any police cars, you can speed! We saw plenty of cars stopped for speeding by unmarked police cars. I learned that police offers have the option of using their own personal vehicles so watch out! Don't hesitate to stay here if you need to base yourself in Kona! Kim

Great house and location! The house is perfectly situated in a cul-de-sac. Within walking distance to beaches both north and south on Ali’i street. I very much appreciated the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms since we were a party of 8. There was plenty of space for all of us. We also appreciated the supply of beach chairs, umbrella and mats for beach trips. The welcome gift of 100% Kona coffee was also a great touch. We would definitely stay here again!

A real gem in a lovely, central and convenient neighborhood. Exactly what we had hoped for and more. Mahalo for a clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated space with all the necessary amenities to feel at home. Mahalo. We look forward to being back here again.

Great place to stay. Lots of room. A few upgrades needed but overall great stay. few minutes to the closest beach by car. You can also walk but don't recommend. Safeway, Walmart, Starbucks all within a short driving distance. Short driving distance to pier area and local shops. Free public parking limited and have to get there early morning to grab spot. Recommend parking at Marriott paid parking, it's 25 dollars for entire day. Across from Marriott hotel is a nice little rental place for beach equipment, plus the Gals are extremely nice. Lots of things to do if planned out right. The rental house has 4 bath and showers which was great so you and your family don't have to wait. Plenty of towels and sheets. Equipped with mostly everything you need. Recommend you take a inventory of everything that is there (spices, oils, garbage bags, etc) before going shopping. Just save you time having to make an extra trip to store. Overall it was a nice place and I would stay there again. Price a little steep especially when you are only there half the time.

Very close walk to Magic Sands beach. Lots of beach towels, snorkelling stuff, boogie boards, etc for the beach. We enjoyed our stay! Worked well for 4 couples, everyone had their own space. Suggestions for improvement would be adding another fridge for beverages etc for a group of 7 adults it would have been well used! We made things work but noted this would have improved our experience. We were asked to do several loads of laundry to get the towels started but were only supplied with 2 laundry pods. Information on where to recycling would be helpful. We googled and found a place but info on what to do and where To go would be appreciated ❤️ All in all a wonderful stay and we will be back!

We had an incredible time at Hale a Kai. Perfect for families. We made big dinners and enjoyed the yard games and hanging out on the lanai in the evenings. Perfect spot to vacation like a local in comfort and style. Great location, just off the Ali’s, close to beaches, shops, and short drive to just about everything in Kailua Kona. Easy contactless check in and super responsive team. Highly recommend!

Was a great place to stay for our big island vacation! Quiet at night for good rest. Quiet during day too. There is 2 pack and plays. 2 strollers a high chair. Coolers a wagon to haul beach gear. And a ton of beach gear!!! Chairs boogy boards, coolers. Sun shade umbrella. Flippers for snorkeling. All you really need are your clothes.

Very clean well laid out floor plan. Nice master bedroom downstairs for us old people and 3 nice bedrooms upstairs. Master and one upstairs bedroom had a sofa bed, so property could have easily accommodated 12. Near the airport and shopping. Only negative would be the solar hot water heater. With 9 adults and a baby returning from the beach at the same time, hot water went very quickly. We had to learn to space showers out. There were lots of toys and amenities left in the garage for our use. They were appreciated.

House was exactly how it was described except there is a all house attic fan which helped to cool off a hot house. And a new hot tub which wasn’t in the ad either. We had some plumbing issues also but they addressed it promptly.and had it fixed. All in all our stay with our family was extremely nice and we were all comfortable

There’s is single ac units in each room and there are sufficient rooms and bathrooms for a family of 8. The beach supplies provided and laundry and washer were extremely helpful to our trip. A beautiful snorkeling bay is less than a 5 minute drive away from this house.
