Hale Aikane

We loved staying at this Hale and felt right at home! The furniture and Hawaiian artwork were beautiful and of course the views. My parents live down the hill so it was a perfect location for my family for the holiday. Would stay there again and definitely recommend.

An absolutely fantastic rental. The area was great, quiet and peaceful, the view was beautiful. The house itself was even better than the pictures. Zero complaints other than we didn't stay longer.

First time visiting the big island and WOW!! Family had an amazing time and the property was incredible. Was slightly worried about having no AC (coming from the mainland where you essentially need it to survive the hot weather) but the climate really is so different in Kona that you don't need it! We all agreed we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We love this house, gorgeous ocean and sunset view! The decoration and furnishings of the house are very attentive. From these decorations we can see that the owner takes good care of the house, and we can also see that the landlord loves life and is very decent.

Beautiful home, high on the hill. Amazing view. Did feel a bit like we were staying with family or friends with all the pictures of their family throughout the home. But we were very happy to be there.

We, me and wife stayed together with friend’s couple for 4nights. A bit old construction, however, good location, great view with sea, sunset !! We spent wonderful days!

Upscale home with 4 corner glass pocket doors which disappear into the wall for an incredible view of the heated pool, beatuful landscaped priperty overlooking the Pacific with an unstoppable view.

Beautiful place with a gorgeous sunset every night from the patio. It was quiet and private - the perfect home away from home. Great location and easy to get to restaurants and shopping. Thank you for a stunning home base for vacation - we'd love to come back.

The property and view is beautiful along with being single level, no stairs! Perfect for two couples who want to see the view from their bedroom. House has lots of kitchen items to use.

This was a lovely place near Kona HI. The view was impeccable, pool and indoor/outdoor living space were the highlights. Kitchen was well equipped. Had some extras like pool floats and snorkel gear. Management company was great at communicating but not too much. They even replaced broken washer/dryer the day we arrived as they had broken down before we got there. I would highly recommend this home to those looking for a place to stay away from tourist traps. The drive to attractions was short and scenic. Only cons were that it was slightly over decorated with quirky antiques. My children weren’t used to this style of decorating. I found it whimsical. They also didn’t care for the loud coqui frogs at night but I loved them. Lack of AC was no issue this time a year. Great breezes if you open the windows.

The house was absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable, easy check-in, great communication and incredible views. The one small point I would say is that to have their multi-person gardening staff there working in the yard at 8:30 am (though they were very nice people) as we are trying to get dressed, have breakfast and enjoy our last morning there was not ideal, but other than that, it was absolutely perfect and we would 100% stay there again.

We had a lovely stay and found the Gather team to be very nice, proactive and helpful. The house itself is beautiful, and that yard and view are incredible! As others have mentioned, there is a lot of decor clutter - so much so that we temporarily moved some items on the kitchen counters so we could have more space to cook. Very minor, and other than that the place was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay, we hope to return again!

Perfect location - accurate pictures and description. Awesome view and pool. Quiet neighborhood - barely heard or saw anyone else. Clean, comfortable space. Nicely decorated - however, a little too much happening on the kitchen countertops and island - we had to move stuff to make it a functional space to cook and converse. Everything you need is available for cooking and dining. Overall a great place to call home while away...

Beautiful spacious home with an amazing view of the ocean. The home had everything we needed and more! Only downfall, NOT the owners fault, was the rain. This location is not far from town, where it’s almost always sunny, but the home is located up on the hill where the clouds have to rain to lighten their load so they can move over the mountain.

Our stay couldn’t have been better! We were a bit surprised that there was no A/C upon arrival (oversight on my part when booking), but quickly realized that it was no issue! Opened the huge sliding doors and windows and the cool air began to flow through and kept us comfortable our entire week long stay! This house has everything you could want and MORE! Not one detail or amenity was overlooked! Wonderful time!

This home was absolutely beautiful & had everything we needed from the kitchen & pool floats. Pretty much a 10-15min drive from everywhere which made it accessible, however we enjoyed cooking at home as well. The view doesn’t do justice to what you see in the pictures at all! I have been recommending this home to many already! Having no A/C wasn’t an issue either, with the windows and doors open the breeze was incredible. I cannot wait to be back!

The house was so clean and well equipped, making for such an easy vacation. The pool was a wonderful treat after adventuring all day! So many windows made for a comforting breeze at night and allowed us to fall asleep to frogs and wake up to roosters. We didn't miss a/c at all. Thanks for letting us borrow your amazing place!

The home was very spacious. The amenities were great. Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Enough linens and supplies for our entire stay. The pool was wonderful. The kids definitely loved it and we appreciated that it was heated since the weather wasn’t so great during our stay. The value was great - Thank you for allowing us to share your home!

Property is awesome for groups! Everyone has their own bathroom and the entire property is centered around the common space, with equal access to the stunning views and pool. Really great, not to mention location secures you nightly sunset and star gazing! Property is elevated and therefore a little cooler than at beach which is also nice.

Wonderful house, perfect for grandparents, and family with children. Very comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen for cooking family meals. We loved sitting outside on the lanai, enjoying the fantastic sunsets. Also located in a lovely area, off the tourist track a bit but close enough to access all the sights. We will be back!

The view from the lanai is as spectacular as advertised. The house was well appointed and situated in a convenient location. It was very clean and neat.

Home was beautiful. Great location with plenty of room. Had great time.

This stay was perfect for our family. There were 6 of us staying and the house and pool was amazing. Be ware that there isn't any air conditioning. I totally overlooked that. However, the fans and multiples doors with screens make it easy to create some extra air flow. Very close to Kona and so quiet.

I cannot express how amazing this place is. Beautiful, spacious, and far better than staying at some over-priced resort. If you're thinking of going to Kona, consider staying here above anywhere else.

The house was extremely spacious and well-designed. It was clean, and easy to navigate through, adding to our pleasant experience. All of us appreciated the organization and tidiness of the house. Overall, it was an extremely beautiful house with a wide ocean view and we enjoyed our stay. We will be happy to rent this place again.

This property was beyond expectations. We enjoyed every minute of it. We all agreed we would rather stay here than any resort on the island.

This place is absolutely incredible. Its secluded and spacious with amazing views. The included snorkeling gear was great since I decided to snorkel almost every day.

We had a wonderful time. The house and property are beautiful, thank you for sharing your slice of paradise. We really enjoyed the location and the sunsets are beautiful. We went to some great beaches but it was really nice to have our own private pool to relax in. We had everything we needed and more the house is well equipped. Thank you again, we will be back!

Great find in Kona.. it’s in a quiet neighborhood near the coffee fields and away from the bustle of downtown Kona. Great home, hosts, and a great place to relax and unwind.

Accommodating property manager allowed us to move our 2020 reservation to 2021 when Hawaii shut down during the Covid pandemic. So glad we did this as this Kona home was well worth waiting for. The house has every amenity to be found not only in a vacation rental but also in staying at a friend's home. The kitchen is a dream with every pot, pan, dish, serving plate, utensil one could ask for. Lots of room for the 6 of us adults to move around in. All 3 bedrooms are comfortable although we spent little time on them as the covered lanai and pool are the draw. Area around the house is a quiet paradise, a bit too hilly for us seniors' morning walks. A car is needed to get to any stores or island attractions.
