by Lauren H.Beautiful location and home. Use Google maps as we found Apple Maps isn’t as great in Hawaii. We swam in the pool day and night, enjoyed sunrises and sunsets from the deck. Grilled and cooked many home made meals and generally, just relaxed in this serene environment. Quiet at night - frogs, etc. can be heard - but little traffic or neighbor noise. Plenty of room for a family to spread out. Also, loved watching movies in the cozy sitting area. Overall this is an upscale location with lots of amenities. Walking around the neighborhood and property we also found lots of fruit, vegetables and scenery. Love that they have beach gear for use, plastic wear for the kids and bathtubs as well as showers. Beach and pool towels available and an absolute must was the onsite washer and dryer. Definitely recommend!

Bedroom doors are accessed from the outdoors, which may be an issue for younger visitors, but was fine for our family! Close to town, yet feels remote and perfect. We will be back!

The perfect getaway vacation home!
by Kim DAbsolutely enchanting! We had the most wonderful stay on Big Island in this lovely home. We arrived to a most beautiful view of the sunset that we enjoyed from the lanai where we felt like gods and goddesses on our private mountain estate. Preparing an ono meal in this dream kitchen and cooking it on the grill was a wonderful experience due to the openness of the layout, where we didn’t miss a second of the light show outside. We watched the vibrant colors dancing in the sky as we ate as a family at the large table outside on the lanai. Once the sun went down, the air was comfortably crisp enough for a cozy fire around the firepit. The area feels wonderfully secluded in nature. When it was time for bed, we loved the unique layout of the outdoor hallway to each room, that gave every bedroom the same magnificent view in the morning. Our bed was so comfortable and the temperature so perfect, we slept like babies! In the morning we had a plethora of fruit trees to pick a delicious breakfast from….papayas, figs, oranges, and the best avocados I’ve ever had!!! No gym is needed as we got plenty of exercise exploring the property or using the provided yoga mats on their very soft lawn facing the gorgeous view of the ocean. Best of all, the location is central to the places you want to visit most often, so we didn’t spend a ton of time in the car to get to beaches, hiking, and shops, and still felt completely secluded snuggled within nature. We can’t wait to return to Hale Joli!!!
