Let me start by saying I really liked this house. It's a beautiful place. Well-appointed with comfort in mind. We had a mostly restful stay, but I would have liked to have known we were staying next door to an active gravel depot. There was at least one day when the noise and exhaust from the trucks coming in and out of the yard really disturbed our peace. That said, the location was ideal for walking to the beach and into town. The beach supplies were very high quality and made our stay super pleasant. I was tempted to ignore the truck issue for the purposes of this review because I do believe the hosts have nothing but the best of intentions, but in the end it was too noticeable to leave out. Had it not rained so intensely at the beginning of our stay, we might not have noticed as much, but we were homebound quite a bit because of the terrible weather.

The standout features were the very well equipped kitchen and beach gear, which included umbrellas, beach chairs, towels and a pull cart. Well maintained and nicely furnished too. We would definitely stay here again!

Less than 5-minute walk to the beach. Spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. We would definitely go there again. Hanalei is a really special place.

The house was very clean and thoughtfully stocked with so many amenities that made our vacation more enjoyable. Everything was well maintained, and we appreciated all the little touches that made it feel comfortable.

Perfect spot in the most magical place

Great, family-friendly place! Our kids LOVED the location and being able to walk to the beach just blocks away with the house-provided wagon, beach umbrella, chairs + boogie boards. Ample indoor space—especially the living room + kitchen—with a nice deck to spend rainy afternoons reading.

We loved staying at this perfect Hanalei house! We're a family of 4 and it was perfect for me, my husband, and our two young kids. It's an unbelievable location (just far enough outside of town that you don't have the noise/congestion), but close enough to get there immediately for anything you want. The gorgeous beach is a block over and an easy stroll, and it's a short drive to Tunnels beach and other sites. The house is bright, airy, modern, and so well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts are super generous with plenty of towels (and extra beach towels), kitchen supplies, and a stash of beach items they let you borrow. Two bright, lovely bedrooms with incredibly comfortable beds, two fantastic bathrooms, and a modern kitchen, dining area, and fun family room area. We loved doing a puzzle and lounging on the porch each evening. It's a really nice, friendly little street with pretty views and local character. Communication was fantastic, and they even let us check in early... we got into town with some tired kids and were so grateful to be able to settle in. Thank you for a fantastic, dream stay at such an incredible location!

The home is lovely, one I would be willing to rent again for a longer stay. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing meals for in home dining. Based on the map at my time of booking it seemed as if the home was a little closer to town. It really is only a five minute walk to the beach, but it’s on the opposite side of the highway. The home is located on a private driveway, and was fairly quiet although you do hear the announcements from the school each morning and afternoon. It took a minute to get over the physical location. Once we did, we realized, it was no problem and fell in love with the place. It includes beach chairs, umbrellas, a beach wagon, and cooler. It is an easy walk to the beach. A little more effort to walk to town, but not bad. Quiet nice neighborhood. You do hear the dogs bark from the property behind, but at a distance, so not overwhelming. Otherwise, just normal neighborhood sounds. The master bedroom can get a little warm. I don’t understand how the cross breeze did not get to that room. But there are fans and a room AC unit, so that solved the issue. The house has a lot of windows, so natural light fills the place. Very nice. We would definitely come back again. Property manager was attentive and responsive to any needs or questions.

Great place! Excellent walkable access to the beach and town. Very comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and a wonderful lanai for morning breakfasts and coffee.

Nicely renovated traditional Hawaiian home within easy walking distance of Hanalei Bay and the town. Well appointed and had everything we needed. It’s located at the end of a road with an agricultural facility that was busy with vehicles and large trucks and could be noisy at times. Overall and nice stay.

Great location that feels private and peaceful. Plenty of space for our group of five, with beautiful views and a quiet neighborhood. It was the perfect way to enjoy vacation without being surrounded by crowds, while still having shops and restaurants close by.

Amazing location - convenient to both the beach and the many great food options that Hanalei offers. Spacious home which our 2 & 5 year olds took full advantage of. Easy access and parking which is always appreciated on this part of the island.

Perfect stay! Walking distance to Hanalei restaurants/shops. House came equipped with all beach gear needed, which was really nice!! Very clean and organized. It was great having the washer and dryer accessible!! There was a window AC unit, but we did not use - open windows and fans kept us comfortable.

Our family of three have been coming to Hanalei for many years. This house was one of our top two favorite rentals. The house felt loved and cared for in a way that made us feel like we were in our own home. They had every “extra” you might think of including spices and sunblock. We felt well taken care of. Loved our time there (and we’ve been to Kauai twice a year for the last ten years). In fact tho it’s a splurge for two people, we will be back and making this a regular stay for us!

A very well set up home in a fantastic location, 5min walk from an amazing beach. We had a wonderful vacation with 2 couples and a baby - we wished we stayed longer!

The home is a minutes walk from the best beach in Kauai. Absolutely lovely home, clean, very well equipped (kitchen appliances, beach equipment), quiet location. We had a wonderful time.

Overall, a really nice place to stay in Hanalei. I was a bit surprised that there was no A/C in the main living / kitchen / dining area though, for the price paid. Splendid decor, super modern. Mahalo!

You can walk to a perfect sandy, shallow beach and spend the whole day there. But there's probably >20 other beaches in a 30min drive all with different flavors of perfection. You can walk to town in maybe 15min or drive in 2min. Groceries, restaurants. drinks, etc are all extremely convenient. Close to the national park.

Great communication, check-in was easy. House was super clean and exactly as described. Location is excellent in the Hanalei area, only 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to Hanalei town.

This place was a real gem, we travel a lot and rarely do we find a place that has it all, great AC, amazing views, comfortable furniture, open ceilings, working appliances, and all of the little touches that can make your dream vacation just that much better! Great stay. The home was in a wonderful location. Check in and check out process was super easy and communication was great.

Perfect. The house is very clean, well appointed, and styled. The owner and property manager thought of everything and generously stocked the house. The property is very well managed. It’s only three blocks from a fun body surfing beach and down the bay from the iconic pier. The lanai is very comfortable with an amazing view of open space. There were many post beach/hiking naps taken on the outdoor sofa. We will def come back.

Loved my stay at this house - I worked remotely for three weeks while enjoying Hanalei and the North side.. It’s as it appears in pictures, kitchen is well-appointed, grill is easy to use, has beach chairs and umbrellas and everything you need for a great day at the beach. One note - the map on the posting is a off - the house is right by Hanalei school if you want a sense of exactly where it is in Hanalei.

The house was perfect for us (two couples) and in person the house showed exactly like it did in the photos. The beach chairs, wagon, cooler, etc were a great plus too! The location was great; super close to the beach and a short walk to town. The map on AirBnB is deceiving as the house isn't exactly where it says it is on the site, but it is still in an excellent location (if you're concerned, just ask before you book)....just as not as close to town as it appears. Regardless, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely book again. The generous welcome basket was a lovely touch and our host always responded when I reached out; she was incredibly kind and sweet. I wish we could have stayed longer, but looking forward to staying there again!
