As it happened, Hurricane Lowell hit Kauai six days into our stay on the island. Our condo turned out to be a pretty good place to weather a hurricane and its aftermath, and Sophia, the on-island property manager, was wonderful. She brought over flashlights and rechargeable lanterns before the storm hit and stowed the outdoor furniture so nothing went flying around. Afterward, she kept in touch as much as possible given that there was no electricity or internet and cell service was iffy at best for the first couple of days afterward. She was kind, understanding, and sympathetic throughout - thanks, Sophie! The property itself was really comfortable for our extended-family group of six - four adults and two kids. Attractive and convenient location, short drive to groceries, restaurants and some great beaches, etc, well-thought-out kitchen, comfortable beds. The pool complex is a short walk away. All in all, a great place to stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at Nihilani! The best area on the island and the condo was beautifully decorated and equipped and felt super special to us. There were even little extras like night lights in the halls that lit up when you walk by. My family loves the pool and hot tub and the neighborhood. This was the perfect place this year for our family of 6 with the 4 bedrooms. We love Nihilani and the condo. Thank you for hosting us!! Many Mahalos!
