Everything worked out great. Very comfortable place with nice amenities and private places for people to be out of the hub bub. Would definitely return to this lodging if I plan to be in the Kona area.

The house was well cared for and very comfortable.  Neighbors were quiet and friendly.  We would stay there again.

Great place for family gatherings

We had a lovely time at this tranquil retreat! Slight hiccup with the AC the first night, but Gather responded and sent out a tech to fix it the following day. Traveled with 3 adults and 2 small children, and the house had everything that we needed including a few pool toys, shower toiletries, ample linen/towels and a kitchen well-stocked with cookware. 

I would absolutely recommend this location for a comfortable get away slightly off the tourist strip but a close drive to plenty of restaurants and beaches.

It served my family’s need exceptionally. We felt right at home, and utilized everything provided. Would come back & would recommend.

I liked that the kitchen was well stocked with all the basic cooking needs with storage containers and all the appliances. It had a nice private pool in the backyard where we spent had our morning coffee. The place was well-maintained. It was perfect for our family with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms.

We had a fantastic time and the house was perfect! Very clean, spacious and welcoming. Our family felt at home and we look forward to staying again!

Plenty of room, comfy and super clean! One of the couches is a queen pull-out. Very well appointed as the pictures show. Pool was ample size to cool off, complete with numerous pool floats. Bikes in the garage were a plus that we used almost every day. Quiet and nice neighbors. The area is just right, close to many sights including 30 min south of airport, within 10 min of nice shopping center and grocery. Recommend this place without hesitation for ur family as well!

Amazing Airbnb, looked just like the photos, very clean and beautiful private community. Place had everything and more that we needed, all the kitchen items, beach items such as coolers, beach towels, chairs, umbrella. Can’t recommend this place more!

Great place!!! Beyond expectations

We had a great experience! The house was perfect for our family. It is equipped with everything you need, from kitchenware to boogie boards and coolers. We also enjoyed the geckos during our days in the pool! The host was very responsive during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Great property and responsive hosts. they were kind enough to extend our check out by a couple of hours since our flights were departing at 10 pm on the day of check out. ideal property for a group of 6 adults.

Great spot for our family. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms made it easy. We loved the patio with private pool. The full size pool and hot tub was 30 seconds away. The sunset views were also a 30 second walk. Very quiet and private. We hope to use this spot again.

What an absolutely beautiful home and we loved the location too. Very quiet and peaceful and right by the ocean. Such an awesome area on the Island - we loved coming home to this oasis every afternoon to relax by the pool. I don't think I've slept this well in YEARS too which is great to recharge the batteries every night after long days in the sun or sightseeing! A sincere Thank You to the owners/managers of this wonderful property!!!

This home was so beautiful. It was perfect for our family. A relaxing backyard with a pool to enjoy the night after our hiking and for dinner time. Easy check-in and communication.

We had a wonderful time staying here with kids and grandparents. The place was spacious and clean. Surroundings were beautiful and close to beaches & great restaurants. We loved having a private pool and going for morning walks to the bay. Looking forward to coming back!

This place was amazing. Gather was very responsive anytime we needed anything. The property was located in a great spot to explore the big island. Very clean and even all the kitchenware was organized so nicely which showed the time and effort put into cleaning and preparing the property for us. I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Very spacious and very relaxing. The neighborhood was gated and very peaceful. There is a beautiful lookout right across the street from the property where you can watch the sunset which was awesome as well.

The house and pool were great, and the kitchen was very well set up (the knives were actually sharp and there was even a decent knife sharpener). Really enjoyed sitting in the backyard in the mornings listening to the birds and starting the day. The location is good as it's nicely out of the high traffic areas to the North, but still close enough to everything. Highly recommend checking out the manta rays that hang out just outside of Keauhou Bay near by the house. The only negative is that the listing said that there is an ocean view, but the ocean is very much not viewable from any part of the house or property (there is a viewing area across the street and down a bit, between houses; where you can look across the surrounding golf course out to the ocean, which is beautiful at sunset.) This didn't ruin our stay or anything like that, but when we searched specifically for an ocean view and there isn't one from the house, it's a bit disappointing to say the least.

The property was amazing! Spacious and luxurious. Communication was great, we had no issues checking in or out. The only issue we had was around the cleanliness of some parts of the house. The dishwasher was gross and smelly and when we arrived there were at least a dozen flies in the house that were quite a nuisance.

Had a great stay. Place was well appointed with great cookware and plenty of beach equipment to borrow. Nice space with lots of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Great views from communal balcony but no direct access to the beach. Would stay here again.

We had a great time! Super comfortable house in a great location. Kitchen (i.e. appliances, dishes/pans, utensils, etc.) and other amenities (i.e. boogie boards, etc.) were readily available. Very clean and excellent communication on access and location. We will return!

Beautiful house, awesome location and very clean! I was surprise to find all the snorkeling gear, beach chairs, bikes and pool toys in great condition! Host was quick with responding. Wonderful experience… I plan to book again on my next trip to The Big Island!

We loved this home. The layout was great. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off. The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do.

This was a pretty great place, it had a ton of space and was gorgeous to stay in! The location is pristine and it was quiet the entire time we were there and that is something that you don't get to experience quite often when going to a location that you've never been to or a neighborhood you haven't seen before as well. All the neighbors that we met were so nice and told us about a few great places to eat. This place has so much space that even with 4 people we could have easily had another couple stay with us and still enjoyed all the space that this place has to offer. The pool was great as well when we would get back from a day out and just wanted to chill and relax at the pool. The grill was another fun add on that we got to use and it just made this whole trip amazing staying in this wonderful place! For sure would use again after a few things got fixed

Beautifully appointed home in Kona, HI! My wife and I live in Seattle and we were looking for a place to escape the Seattle winter rain. Holua Kai turned out to be a perfect escape. The house is gorgeous and brand new. It is in a private gated community, which is always a nice layer of security when traveling to a new area. The finishes a top of the line, with a stainless steel kitchen and beautiful hardwood floors. Each bedroom has a comfortable bed with a flatscreen TV. The master bedroom is huge, and it has an amazing shower with a full sized tube. It was the perfect place to unwind after a big beach day or adventures in the mountains. Regarding the location, Holua Kai is in a perfect location. It is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Kona, which has all the essential stores and restaurants. It is also very close to the Sheraton, which is a huge perk. By far our favorite activity was night snorkeling with the Manta Rays, and one of the few locations in the world where this happens is just down the road and in the cove right in front of the Sheraton. For activities, highly recommend Manta Ray Snorkeling, Hapuna Beach, and Snorkeling at Captain Cook. For bigger adventure days, the Southern Point and Green Sand Beach and the Northside and Waipio Valley are not to be missed. In terms of food, we recommend The Coffee Shack, Hawaiian Style, and (believe it or not) the KTA Grocery Store chain actually has the best Poke on the island! This place is unbeatable, for the both the gorgeous accommodations and the prime locations. My wife and I will certainly be back! Date of arrival February 12, 2018

The house and grounds are awesome. There are some pool and beach supplies in the garage that were great. I had planned on renting a bicycle while on the island, but there was a men's and a women's one in the garage. We didn't discover the community pool area until the end of our visit so I would encourage you to visit that area. It is also very nice. We played the golf course twice while there and it is also amazing. The property manager is not the most responsive so plan on long lead times for communication with her.

Great house and would highly recommend. Had an issue with not having internet for the first day and a half. This was frustrating as I needed to work elsewhere. Communication was a bit slow on that issue but the owners tried to sort it as best they could.

Great house. Fully stocked with cooking utensils, detergent, soaps etc- everything you need but don’t want to pack. Beach gear and bikes in the garage. Quiet neighborhood. Easy and fast check-in.

This rental is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with glasses, plates and cookware. Other than that there is nothing to help with your preparing meals. I was aware this would probably be the case and was told that " there would only be something there if it was left by the previous guests". We brought our own spices etc. The grill was a nice touch which we did end up using. I asked for an hour early check in and was told by the mgmt that this would not be possible as the house was getting prepared by the cleaning team. I know for a fact that they waited till the day we were to arrive to have this unit cleaned and were less than helpful even when i asked why they have waited till our arrival day to clean the unit. Perhaps this is an ongoing problem on the island to get help. I am clearly disappointed with my stay and feel that really they could care less . The hospitality is lacking ( no water or even coffee ) to say welcome. I would not recommend this place for a short stay.

We had a wonderful time at this location. Very close to Keauhou Bay and all the snorkeling and boating you can handle. Local restaurants and shopping were wonderful! House was simple, clean and plenty of space. Wonderful kitchen. Can't wait to come back soon!

Everything was above and beyond what we expected. Communication was great and all our questions were answered in a timely manner. The property itself was beautiful and in a great location. This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be recommending this location to friends and family!

We spent a week here in May 2021 for our honeymoon. It was (obviously) a bit large for one couple but the pool was fantastic and we really appreciated having a full service kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was awesome, and the pictures don’t do the house justice. The garage full of pool features, beach chairs and snorkels was perfect!

Overall an astounding place! We truly enjoyed our stay. Kids are now a shade tanner than they were when we arrived so to the non stop fun they had. My 4year actually decided she wanted to swim without a vest on and crushed it. The amenities and cleanliness of the place was fantastic!! Parking was a little tight but we made it work! Plentiful kitchen appliances made cooking those Live Maine Lobster from Kona Cold Lobster a breeze. Perfect location with stores near by but far enough away from the major ones to enjoy the peace. Can’t go wrong. We’ll be back again for sure.

Everything was perfect except for the rental company wanting to show the house to perspective buyers the day before we were to check out. It was not mentioned that the house may be shown while it was being occupied by renters at the time it was rented (6 months prior). When I told them I have paid too much money to have strangers walking through the house with all our belongings in it, the showing was cancelled. I also find it odd to have outdoor cameras everywhere (front door, garage and one pointing in the backyard). Feels a bit invasive. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the house!

This was such an excellent place - immaculately clean, extremely well provisioned, lots of space, and a great location if you want to be out of the crush of downtown Kona but still very close to everything.

This home was a wonderful, spotless, functional space for my husband and I, my parents, and best friend. The staff at Elite were very responsive and yet gave us our privacy. The development is under construction and home are very close to each other, but the landscaping gives plenty of privacy. The pool was small (if you want to do laps) but wonderful. And the home is a close walk to events going on at the Sheraton, nearby, and you can see the ocean from the overlook (which also overcooks a golf course.

We’d stay there again in a second.

This house was amazing exceeded expectations. Pool was a highlight. We knew it wasn't close to a beach so that didn't bother us but if you are looking for something to a beach this wouldn't be it.

Very nice house, with all the supplements and facilities in! Clean and nice!
The only tiny problem was when I had question of opening the outside gate, I tried to call the agent, but nobody answered, and another phone number was a wrong number. Finally we figured out it.
Except for that tiny problem, everything was perfect and great during our stay. I would highly recommend my other friends and their familiy to spend their vacation in that beautiful house!

The house was perfect. The location was perfect. We went and played on the nearby beaches in the mornings and hung out by the pool in the afternoons. The Kitchen had everything we needed. When our flight home was delayed by 4 hours they were VERY accommodating and we were able to stay at the house until it was time to leave for the airport. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This home is immaculate—spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with furnishings, kitchen gear, toiletries, decor, and pool and beach accessories. The master bed is the most comfortable one we’ve ever slept in while away from home. The airy open living space is inviting and bright, and the big sliding doors leading to a cozy lanai make for easy indoor-outdoor living. Its location is tucked away but still close to a grocery store and restaurants, and getting to town is about a 15-minute drive. The only downside is that the neighborhood is an active construction zone as of January 2019, with crews arriving around 7 each morning to get started—not conducive to sleeping in or to naps for little ones.

What a great new home near pristine beaches perfect for snorkeling. You can take a short walk to swim with the dolphins that sleep in the bay that is sheltered with coral! Sea turtles, eels, and fish of every color imaginable swim around and under you as the sun rises over the mountains! To the North, a fantastic every few miles reveal another perfect beach, some best for snorkeling, others perfect for swimming and sunbathing, and still others best for boogie boarding and surfing! To the South, black and green sand beaches, where dolphins and whales can be seen to swim and cavort, coming right out of the water! The house was everything it was promised to be, brand new, clean, well maintained, fully stocked, and great service from the property managers. You can awaken and look out of your front bedroom window and see the ocean less than 300 feet away! And most of all, a tremendous value! your own landscaped private yard and gorgeous pool, room for up to 8 friends and family, private baths so you never have to worry about inconveniencing each other. I will never stay in a hotel again when traveling to the big island! So many great restaurants to choose from, the local seafood is out of this world! I cannot wait to get back with my family next year to enjoy another two weeks of complete relaxation and fun! I will suggest this place to anyone looking for a great time with friends and family! Far exceeded my expectations!

This home away from home is beautifully appointed and luxurious. The open concept interior is both inviting and welcoming. The spacious living area opens onto a comfortable covered lanai with lovely lawn and landscaping aside a dipping pool which we loved using in the evenings. The location of the property was quiet and peaceful as though we were the only residents in the neighborhood, and I slept better here than I do at home! It is very close to the tourist area downtown and to shopping and dining. At sunset , we walked a short distance to view this incredible sight over the golf course and sea very nearby, quite a highlight of the trip. Ellen and Al, the owners, were extremely accommodating, generous, responsive and truly delightful! I can't express how wonderful my experience was, and I would return again and again if I could; I only hope that the property is not already rented when I choose to go to Hawaii the next time! If you like to be treated like visiting royalty with surroundings that are well maintained, clean and bright, (brand new, actually) peaceful and pleasant with all the amenities described in the listing, then this is the perfect place for you and your family or friends. I think it would be the obvious choice for both the athletes and viewers of the coming Ironman Triathalon or anyone who desires the perfect setting for a most amazing and memorable vacation.
