The location alone gives this place 5 stars. Ocean front with the water less than 100 feet away. Well landscaped grounds. Centrally located with any place on the island within a 30-60 minute drive. Great walking path with shops and restaurants nearby. Unit had what we needed to warm food with a small refrigerator/freezer and dishes to use. We bought an ice tray to make ice but later discovered a complementary ice machine near the end of an adjacent unit. The unit is older and as some other reviews have said could use some upgrades but everything works fine. AC was very good at keeping the unit cool. Furniture was dated but had a traditional Hawaiian feel. Bed was comfortable. Very limited power outlets. I wish we had brought a small extension cord so that we would have had power near the bed to charge our phones and keep them nearby. But good not to be bombarded by messages in the middle of the night from the mainland. Overall this was a great place and we would stay here again.

It exceeded my expectations.

This place was a home run. I have friends who own a unit at Islander on the Beach and said it’s the best complex on the island. I don’t disagree. 

Ours was an end unit on the second of three floors, which proves to be ideal.  We rarely heard noise from the pool, and we would leave our balcony door open at night to hear the crashing, yet peaceful, waves. We watched the sun rise every morning from our balcony, and soon afterwards took walks up and down the beach. Heaven. 

The location really is ideal: steps from Coconut Marketplace which had many affordable shops, restaurants, and a decent market. 

One day we drove to Princeville, and another to Waimea Canyon. The famed Fern Grotto is only minutes away, so this was a perfect location for us. 

Finally, the WiFi was especially good. Not that we needed it much in paradise!

In sum, it was a great value, good for families and kids (and couples). It exceeded my expectations.

The location is perfect! This is a very nice unit close to the ocean and there are lots of shops and restaurants close by. It was really nice sitting on the Lanai and watching the waves roll in. The unit was clean and well stocked with the basics needed to get started. Hoping to stay here again in the future. The property management was always helpful and quick to respond. We never had to wait long to get a questioned answered. It was really nice being in the middle of the island. Made it easy to explore both ends of the island and it's close to the airport. There are chairs on the beach in front of the condo that are really nice place to go sit and watch the sun rise in the morning.

We absolutely loved our stay! Could not have asked for a better location and view. The beach was so close and we loved that we had access to the pool as well. It was close to Coconut Marketplace, so we could walk to yummy restaurants, shopping, and of course, shaved ice! We loved sitting on the lanai to start and end each day. The space was well stocked with everything we needed and more. It was just what we were looking for and we can't wait to stay again!

Our stay was great! Exactly as described. Communication with our host was perfect. The unit was clean and had everything that was advertised. The location can’t be beat!!! Amazing view of the ocean and pool area. Beautifully landscaped grounds. So close to many restaurants and shops, all within a 2-3 minute walk. Perfect for exploring the entire island. The unit could use a little updating, but everything worked as it should. The provided beach chairs, cooler and snorkel and mask were a nice surprise! I would absolutely stay again if I am ever fortunate enough to return to this beautiful island.

Celebrated my honeymoon here. Room is on the 2nd floor overlooking the ocean. Absolutely spectacular. The hosts set us up with locally made chocolates (which were amazing!!) along with locally grown fruit. The area abound is bristling with activities and high quality restaurants. We would love to comeback again 🙂

Great location! We could watch the sun rise every morning from our porch. Walking distance from a a variety of restaurants and bars. An entire market is behind the building with shops, eaterys, cafes, and a grocery store. The easy access to the beach, pool and hot tub made for some easy choices in the late afternoon when our party was tired. Highly recommend!

A serene location for a much needed getaway. I highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for an affordable rental *right on the water!*. Just being able to sit on the lanai each morning and have breakfast was surreal (also the benefit of having the cover from the rain makes it really worth it!). As an added benefit of being so close to the water, the room’s wifi reaches out to the beach! The apartment itself was super clean, has ample cooking equipment for a short stay, and some nice beach gear like chairs and snorkel masks. The property manager was super responsive helpful and kind, responding to all my messages immediately and taking care of any problems I had. The bed was comfortable, and the room has a nice TV with Netflix. The resort itself is super nice, very well manicured gardens, with a well maintained pool, pool-bar, and hot-tub. Also being within walking distance to many shops was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back!

Great location with a beautiful view. Our room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The poolside bar made some of the best mai tai drinks around! Even though it didn't have an elevator, it won’t stop us from coming back again.
