Great location!

The place was even nicer in person. The view is even better from the balcony than what shows in photos. The apartment has everything that you need for your stay. Well equipped kitchen, beach gear, well stocked bathroom with extra towels, extra bed linens and they also provided us with laundry and dish washer soap which we actually used. The location is great, 10 min walk to restaurants, cafes and groceries stores in Kona. We only use the car when we went to the beach. We got a numbered parking spot which is not exactly next to the apartment but wasn’t a big deal for us. The building complex is nice, with green foliage and colorful flowers, and many local residents as well. To get to the apt there’s a 3 flights of stairs with no elevator so if you any physical/health impediment this is not for you. Lastly, management was very accommodating and responsive which we appreciated. We’re very happy with our stay. Recommended!

Great location. Near restaurant and grocery store. The place is clean and cozy, really feels like home. Ductless mini-splits air conditioner is a big plus, keep the apartment cool and quiet.

About a 10 minute walk from the shops, restaurants and shoreline. Assigned parking spot is on the opposite side of the complex from the stairs to access the unit, which is on the third floor.

We had a great stay at the condo! I'd like to debunk a few comments I read in other reviews - 1) previous reviews made it sound like the parking spot was far away, it's a tiny condo complex and its a 1 minute walk so complaining about how far the spot is from the unit seems ridiculous. It was very easy and convenient. 2) We had also read reviews that the hideaway bed is uncomfortable, I'd also like to clear up that it's very comfortable, it's a nice memory foam type of mattress. The kitchen had everything we needed, unit was clean, and we enjoyed the views of the ocean from the patio. We would happily rebook on another trip! Thanks!

This condo was great, and a great value

This condo was great, and a great value. It was a quiet area, all the neighbors were kind. The parking spot is far from the condo, not sure why the assigned parking spot is so far away. There was boogey boards, umbrella and towels in closet. It's walking distance (.25 miles) to a little beach. Pool and BBQ is right down the stairs and fun to hang out at as well.

Condo was clean and complex was very close to the commercial area so you can just walk to nearby shops. Check in was easy. Only downside was parking slot was on the other side of the condo and that there is no elevator if you needed to haul a lot of stuff. Overall though, very convenient and good value for money. They even have some beach equipment you can borrow. Would stay again if ever.

Our stay at the Kalanikai 306 was wonderful. We loved the condo, the location near downtown and open kitchen -living room. The one point we found inconvenient is that the parking spot is at the opposite section of the complex even though there are parking spots right under the 306. A bit inconvenient when you have to carry groceries three floors up. Anyways, if we go back to Kona we'll probably book again with Elite Pacific again. Your service is top notch. Mahalo! M. A.

Very comfortable condo that is well-maintained and equipped for a family staying on the Big Island. The condo is in a very quiet complex with a nice pool, barbecue grills, etc. Only a block from the downtown area so convenient to shops and restaurants. Assigned parking spot so you know where you will be parking. Distant view of the ocean and very nice greenery on the grounds.

The location of the condo is perfect. No other way to express it. Close to grocery stores, dining, downtown, beaches, and transit. To be honest we only used the condo to sleep and eat breakfast which is all you need for vacationing in Hawaii or any tropical destination. The condo was incredibly clean and organized. We were very close to all the downtown attractions and has an amazing view from the 3rd floor. The bed was comfortable and all of the kitchen appliances were brand new. We felt very comfortable and safe within the condo. Was great to have our own covered parking spot. We enjoyed the pool and relaxing sun chairs. We’ve stayed in this complex on many trips, and this condo is by far the nicest experience.

The condo was very clean, and had everything we needed! The bed was very comfortable and the check in process was easy! Only thing we didn’t like was a couple of nights we were woken up by people yelling outside. That being said we never felt unsafe I just think the homeless population is bad in Kona. The location was great, central to everything and loved having a reserved parking spot! If we ever come back to the big island we would rent this space again.

Sparkling clean, comfy bed, plenty of space for folded clothes & ample hangers for clothes that need to be hung. A great little washer & dryer in the unit that was very useful. The updated bathroom & kitchen made our stay very comfortable. There’s even a frother to heat milk for your coffee/tea. The Kalanikai condo complex is very centrally located. There’s a Starbucks 100 yards from the complex or several other great coffee places very close by. We would most definitely stay there again!

Excellent Central Location! Right across the street from Beach

This was my second time staying in this Development but the first time in this Unit. The Condo Development is “very basic” looking upon arrival but the Location, Pool and BBQ Area are delightful. This Condo was in a great location and was extremely clean upon arrival. In addition, it had all the amenities one could ask for available. Iced cold waters in the fridge upon arrival, fresh Kona coffee and all sundry items needed in the Bathroom. The owner also, very generously, has lawn chairs and beach towels for your use. I’d highly recommend staying here - Clean, Excellent Location and competitive daily rates. The Wi-Fi needs upgrading, it is very slow and the unit can get quite warm/hot. Other than that, highly recommend!

Beautiful Condo

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. It is beautifully renovated with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities we needed. It’s an older building but this specific unit is practically brand new and so is the pool! I was a bit worried that the pool wouldn’t have much shade, but later in the afternoon, the sun goes behind the buildings and it’s perfect at the pool. It’s in an excellent location. 10 minute walk to Alii Drive where all of the shops and restaurants are so we didn’t need to get a rental car which was awesome. Overall, for the price especially, this place is perfect!

This was a wonderful place to stay! It is close to the ocean with a great balcony for sipping coffee and watching the boats move on the Pacific Ocean. The condo was very comfortable and close to shopping. Some historical sites are only a few minutes walking distance away. We really enjoyed our stay here. Having our own designated parking place was great too.

Vacation adventure on the Big Island

Vacation adventure on the Big Island was fantastic. The condo is just across the street from downtown Kona were all the excitement is for music and resturants. We were able to fly into the volcano area to see the lava flow and fissures burning on a helicopter charter. Rented a jeep and drove to green beach and black beach and to the observatory. We drove from one end of the Big Island to the other end all in 7 days. We were not bothered by the vog during our stay in most of the areas we drove or in Kona. We will tell our friends to come to the Big Island and stay in Kona. Thank you for letting us stay in this condo. It was so convienant to everything we wanted to do on the Big Island.

Really nice 1 bedroom condo right in the heart of Kona. Walk to restaurants and nightlife out your front door. Pull out bed was great for the kids and very comfortable, while the master bedroom was nice for us parents. Very clean and updated appliances. Nicely Remodeled Condo!

We found this place on Homeaway. It's close to everything, no car needed. It is nicely updated, clean, and nice views. We all fit comfortably. With my mom, husband, baby, and myself. Plenty of room. that's a bonus. Couch was a bit uncomfortable, plus I'm not a fan of wicker furniture. My mom smokes, so the walk to the smoking area was far for her, and it turns out there are homeless people hanging out camping at the smoking section. She had to find a new spot, because she wasn't comfortable. We did have a hard time finding the condo, because the directions weren't clear. We had to ask the maintenance guy. It is on the top floor which I wanted, but no elevator. That was a bit difficult. After hiking everything up, we didn't realize we couldn't check in yet. We called the rental company and they were kind of enough to let us in early. The condo needs curtains in the bedroom, it was so bright. It was kind of horrible given we had our 7 month old son, and he would get confused. The room could use a king bed, there was plenty of room. That would of been nice to have. The condo had AC throughout which was awesome. The neighbor next door I could hear snore sometimes, or talk. It also smells like cigarettes going by his/her place. That's how you can tell your condo is next door. Other than that, it is pretty quiet. We would stay again only if the condo gets curtains, the king bed isn't a deal breaker. A rice cooker would be nice, and more beach stuff, especially beach towels. We didn't use the pool at all, the mosquitos were bad by the pool.

Convenient, Clean, and Lovely

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Kalanikai 306 with our young son. The accommodations were clean and mostly well-stocked. The newly-remodeled kitchen was nice to cook in (the only thing missing was a blender!). We really enjoyed the community pool and close proximity to dining, brewery, and groceries. The entire complex was pleasantly quiet. It seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals. We weren't bothered by it, but the assigned parking space was a bit far from 306. We had to walk around the building and up to the third story. No elevator on premise. Overall, we would recommend Kalanikai 306 to fellow travelers.
