Kona Alii 512

Lovely condo in the heart of downtown Kona—perfect for our friend group. The flexible layout (loft bedroom, main-floor bedroom, pullout couch, plus an air mattress) worked great for our picky adults. We could walk to plenty of restaurants and activities and were centrally located for daily excursions. The hosts were responsive, delightful, and accommodated our early check-in request. We made a couple small adjustments to work with the A/C (kept the main-floor bedroom door open at night for airflow; one of us used the air mattress instead of the pullout since the living room cools fastest). A/C isn’t “standard” in Hawaii, but with the provided fans it kept everyone comfortable. It is not the glitz and glam of a $$$ resort, but we wanted a nice condo that was well located, nicely priced, allowed us to cook, do laundry, etc. while also being steps from the beach. This place was absolutely perfect for that, and I'd absolutely stay here again.

Nice location. A little dated but the 3 bathrooms, AC, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and King size beds was ideal for our group.

We had a wonderful vacation in Hawaii and the condo was perfect! The location is ideal! Just a 5 minute walk to farmer’s market, restaurants, shopping, beaches and more. Communication was clear with regular updates leading up to and throughout the stay! Kitchen was well equipped and bbq area was great! Very clean! Kids loved the loft! We hope to be back soon!

I couldn’t have asked for a better location, just a quick walk downstairs to the ocean. Perfect for people who don’t want to rent a car and still be within walking distance of great food.

This place was the perfect place to stay, with quick, walkable access to coffee shops, restaurants, cute shops, and the oceanfront! The host communicated extremely proactively and was incredibly accommodating. All of our needs, requests, and questions were promptly met.

Loved the layout and convenience of our place. Had all the essentials for the beach and our stay. Well stocked! Great central location for adventures on Kona. A little late night noise from the bars down the street, but the sound of the ocean waves helped!

Perfectly centralized spot for the island. We could walk to restaurants and shops with ease. Check in and out was a piece of cake. The place was nice and clean and even had some beach stuff we could use. Overall great experience.

This unit is wonderful! Lots of room, beautiful view of the ocean and in the heart of Kona! Neighbors were kind and inviting. Highly recommend!

A+ stay. The location was fantastic, incredibly central in kona with a ton in walking distance from the unit - including a great spread of coffee shops and restaurants facing the water. The suite itself was spacious and very well appointed, including little extras that were so nice (beach chairs, snorkel sets, etc.) Keep in mind that Hawaii in general was built up many years back, so all units are going to show signs of age. With that, this unit was spotless and has been well kept up. The check in was super easy after a late flight, and they offered flexible check out options for a late flight back. The parking was also covered and convenient, as a rental car is a must for getting around the island. We'd love to come back and stay again!

The location was awesome. Sunset Views with the ocean were perfect. The unit was very comfortable. The loft was very spacious with a walk-in closet. The bedroom downstairs was perfect for accessible needs. Not a roll-in shower however large enough for a shower chair and had a fixed & handheld shower wand. The amenities were fine. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We will definitely return to this unit.

Nice condo and we enjoyed the location as it was central to many of the restaurants and we walked to dinner every night. The shopping was convenient as well.

We were very pleased with the condo. Great location - close to water, restaurants and shops. It was well outfitted with supplies - dishes, linens - even beach toys. The only slight negative was the the washer didn't not work well and the dryer left the contents damp. We were told these are being replaced. Management was responsive to inquiries and very helpful. Would highly recommend this VRBO.

Location was great. Very close to many restaurants, the ocean and shops. Balcony gave amazing views of the bay and the mountains behind. The 3 bathrooms and kitchen set up was perfect. The condo had everything you need to cook. The property provided several fans which was helpful, plus beach chairs and snorkeling gear.

Perfect location for heading down to race site. Didn’t need a rental as there are so many food and shopping options near the condo. Fit 6 women comfortably. Great experience.

This was a great location—plenty of restaurants and stores. Farmer's market was right down the street. Great view of the ocean and the mountains. There was a really good saltwater pool that we swam in every day. The maintenance guy kept a good eye on the property which made us feel safer because there are some homeless people in this area. There was snorkel equipment and boogie boards in the room which was a good treat. The only negative is that some of the electrical appliances such as the fans didn't work and also there was a leak in the shower door which got water all over the floor. Also, it should be noted that most condos in Hawaii do not have A/C and this condo is no exception. It's not a huge deal because the weather is always nice and the rooms are designed to maximize airflow. All in all, I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here, the location is great for downtown access and the property is kept very clean. I would recommend using the standing fans in the loft area as it can get quite warm, but the main floor master suite has a good breeze way through it so it’s comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, we even had a blender so I could make my infant son his own purées! We were also able to arrange with a company to drop off and pick up baby equipment, just use the one recommended by elite properties, it was very easy. The balcony offered beautiful views, perfect for coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine in the evenings. The railings in the loft are spaced wide apart, so for those with mobile young children just be aware if they are in the loft. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again!

Location is fantastic- right in middle of Kailua Kona. Lots to do with shops and restaurants nearby.

Great place to stay overall (location, clean, easy to access), but expect a list of things that need to be done before checkout.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! How the pacific did so much behind the scenes work to try to rectify the situation that was my fault. Oh the apartment/condo is absolutely beautiful and the beds were comfortable felt like home

Condo was well stocked, clean and well layed out for our needs, slept 5 comfortably with all having a bathroom for there own use ,could use a couple more fans but cooled down at night with windows open.Definately would stay again

Great stay! The best part about this condo is the location!! Closest apartment building to the main strip of restaurants and bars in Kona, located right across the street from the beautiful ocean. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean cute condo close to the Kailua night life. There is a view of the ocean and the ocean breeze kept us cool.

If you like being in walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops, this is the place for you. We loved the convenience of not having to drive everywhere. The condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Even a view of the ocean.

Great place with wonderful airflow! We loved using the washer and dryer to freshen things up mid stay. Please read the tips on the dryer to get the best use out of it. There is a water tray that fills up quickly so dump every time. We (two couples) enjoyed breakfast every morning on the gorgeous lanai.

Wonderful location, a partial view of the ocean from the lanai, close enough to hear the surf. Walkable neighborhood, restaurants and a soccer pitch adjacent. Good supermarket approx 1 mile away. Layout affords privacy from neighbors and within the apartment as well. Well stocked with cooking/dining items. Recommend.

This place was great! Enjoyed the location, really close to town:) very homey and well stocked. The booking process was pretty lengthy, and the 4pm check in time was a little inconvenient however overall it was worth it!

Great stay in the Big Island with an excellent location in Kona - 5 minutes away from Safeway/Walmart and walking distance to many restaurants. Check in wasn't very hard to figure out and the rooms were very clean and came with enough amenities - plenty of beach towels, bath towels, beach gear (umbrella, chair, cooler, fins, noodles), and soaps/supplies for to last a week or so. The rooms were very clean when we went inside and we had no issue with using the rooms. Only downside is that there is no A/C so be prepared to have some humid nights!

Great location - walking distance to many great restaurants and beach side views in Kona. (Keep in mind that the listing is close to bars/clubs which may play music well into the AM on weekends, may disturb sleep) Check in and check out was relatively smooth and contactless. The place was spacious with bathrooms and dining/living room space to work remotely if needed. It was a pretty good find for a last minute booking!

Beautiful and spacious condo, ideally located in Kona close to everything. Very tall ceilings, large deck to enjoy sunsets and sunrises - I’d go back here right away!

You do not need a car, close to the best restaurants, little charming beaches, farmers market was few steps away, Safeway close by. We had a really good time. The apartment is sparkling clean with all you need. Nice pool that we went once, because the beaches are much nicer. It was much better than I thought and my suggestion is read all the instructions they send before. Kona-Alii condo is well known but taxi drivers are not that honest. What a nice place! 3 bathrooms with shower was a must. Love it! My boys paddleboarded and saw a bunch of dolphins, we explored those little beaches and saw a sea turtle chilling in one of the low tide pools. We all snorkeled and it was beautiful to see those colorful fish. Hope to return one day!
