Kona Makai 4104

A great place to stay not too far from shopping and restaurants. The lanai has an amazing view of the ocean. Will be back for sure.

The condo was nice. The soft bed is worn out with two distinct wells or low spots for sleeping. Pillows were also cheap and flat like pancakes. It was unfortunate because the rest of the condo was very nice.

This was an outstanding location. We really enjoyed the ocean view. The apartment had everything we needed.

Great place. Just as described. Loved sitting on the lawn chairs right next to the ocean watching the whales. So cool!

Wonderful stay!  Very nice condo with an amazing view!  We so enjoyed our morning coffee and meals on the lanai.  The community here is very friendly and welcoming.

The condo looked great, and appeared to have been professionally decorated. It was well-stocked with kitchen equipment, linens, and even beach chairs. It is on the ground floor, which is what we wanted. It was very quiet, and had that lovely view.

Plenty of room for my self and two teenagers. The view from the lanai is stunning and the view from just below the pool deck is even better. Condo is very comfortable (sofa bed is ok, I mean it’s a sofa bed) and has everything you’ll need. I’ve seen some other reviews of Kona Makai complaining about all of the rules. If you have young kids it’s probably not the place for you (and that’s ok!) but the rules on quiet, pool use, etc. make it a beautiful and enjoyable experience for everyone. I’m already planning to bring friends back. Centrally located, always parking comfortable furnishings.

Overall we loved our stay. Our first 2 days were a bit tough due to both air conditioning until not working. The management company was able to replace these but it did take 2 days. They refunded us these days and we were able to find a hotel for the nights. We happened to arrive in a heat wave with very little trade winds to keep us cool. Without the air conditioning, the condo was pretty miserable. With the new units, the place was very comfortable. Everything else was wonderful. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom or loft but not a huge deal. The location is great and I can’t imagine a better condo set up. We used the pool and spa daily and everyone at the condo was kind and courteous.

Loved the quiet property, parking was easy, pool refreshing, gardens spectacular. The view is incredible. The unit itself is top quality and the cleaning service does an excellent job. Everything in excellent condition. Everything very well maintained. Newish appliances, kitchen very clean and had just the right amount of supplies. The decorating of the condo was very well done. Just love the walk in shower. Fans and air conditioning in living room and bedroom worked well and was quiet. Trash was located near to unit, area was clean and well maintained. I liked that everything was to be separated for recycling. We never had a reason to contact the property manager. Everything went smoothly the entire time we stayed here. We will definitely come and stay here again. Thank you.

Had a boogie board, snorkel gear and beach stuff for kids! Great location - would recommend a rental car for getting around!

You have set up an above average and efficient process for renting a condo through your Elite Pacific company, and we would rent through you again without hesitation. We felt that a member of your group was always available to help through a telephone, text, or email if we had any questions regarding the rental. We had one of the best vacations we’ve ever had and that was in part due to your process. It’s a beautiful and very well set up unit.

Beautiful ocean views, nicely landscaped.

The property was clean and inviting. The condo was stocked with everything we needed and the location was great. Waking up to the view was the best part.

The place was nice and clean with a bunch of beach gear available. The unit has two ac units which they had on as soon as we arrived (very refreshing on such a hot day)!

Check-in process was super smooth and it was super easy to park onsite. Just register your car with the front office or fill in a slip at the wooden sign if you arrive when they're not in like we did. It's easiest if you drive, as it's not as easily walkable to downtown (you can do it, just a busy road to walk along without a dedicated sidewalk for most of it). Communication ahead of time with Elite was regular and clear. The unit itself was great! Fully stocked kitchen, laundry, beach towels, AC in both the living room and bedroom, gorgeous lanai, and very clean. Outside the unit recycling and trash area was super convenient. We had no pest problems and took out the trash and cleaned the kitchen each morning to keep it that way. Cute geckos will join you on the lanai that has a view of the ocean. Extra linens and pillows made using the sofa bed easy. Not the most comfortable beds, but everything else was great!

This was a very nice, clean and updated place to stay with a great view. Would stay in this condo again for sure.

We throughly enjoyed the sunsets every single night. The property is beautiful and clean as is the condo. Everything you needed we had. The only fall back was that the bedroom is right next to the parking lot so you do hear the cars driving by . The TV is way too small . The breakfasts on patio were our most favorite time of day. Everything went smooth directions were easy to follow and what to do when leaving. No issues

Easy to find, clean and welcoming, fun to visit. Would stay there again. DO NOTE: THE HOME (HOA?) HAS WEIRD RULES AGAINST TALKING ON YOUR CELL PHONE WHEN SITTING ON THE LANAI. Not sure why it's different than talking to another person or zooming a conference call, but it made working remotely kind of a pain. Also the community is undergoing a repipe project (Jan 2022) so the electric hammers go off at 9am and run sporadically during work days.

Great location to town, view was spectacular and place had all the essentials for a great stay. Condo is good for two people but any more might be a squeeze. The deck was our favorite. You could see and hear the ocean and enjoy a glass of wine. Relaxing, easy check in and great place overall.

We were very pleased with the property & with our condo!! When we come back we will definitely try and stay at the same place. Very comfortable, clean and easily accessible to Kona attractions. It was a very quiet and relaxing place. Loved the view!!! The condo was well stocked for a comfortable stay. The remodeled bathroom was lovely. I would highly recommend a change to the shower curtain situation. It fell down twice & we had to have someone come in to secure it. Where it ended up being placed caused the water to go all over the floor during the duration of the shower. It was necessary to use towels on the floor to soak up the water. I would say that this is more of an adult facility. My 3 granddaughters visited one morning from the resort next door. The swimming pool experience with them was certainly not geared towards kids. Anything a kid would like to do was on the "do not" list. We'd give it a 10 rating and would highly recommend this facility and condo!!

By far the best feature about this unit is the view. The pictures are spot on. We had gorgeous sunsets, no need to go to crowded restaurants to try and snag a view. Order takeout and enjoy it on your patio. For us, we enjoyed the quietness of the complex. If you like a lively pool scene and a chance to mingle with other guests, this probably isn’t the unit for you. The unit is convenient to all activities in North and South Kona Kudos to the management company, we had an issue with the dryer on the first day and they promptly sent someone to fix the issue.

We loved the unit. The ocean view was lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony to have our coffee or watch the amazing sunsets. The unit was very clean.

Best view of all the units. Loved being able to watch the sunset and moon rises. Beautifully decorated, very clean and had a washer dryer. We appreciated the outdoor grills, and the pool.

This was my wife and my second time back to the Big Island and we really enjoyed our stay at Elite Pacific. The view was exactly as depicted and the sunsets were beautiful from the lanai. The place was a little smaller than we expected. The unit had all the amenities we needed. The place was clean when we arrived. There is an apartment-size washer and dryer in the unit. they even had laundry tabs for our use. The owner of the property also provided a complimentary gift of Kona coffee to get our morning started. The property has a hot tub, pool, and barbeque pits for your use. You are very close and within walking distance of the Pacific ocean, but don't have beach access. That said, you are only a short drive to the popular beaches from this property. I will say, the sunset is also stunning from the end of the property. We really liked that it is very quiet at night. The cons - there wasn't a cooler that they mentioned and the bathroom was a little dark probably because a lightbulb was out during our stay. The bedroom is next to the parking lot and bright even with the drape closed. It didn't bother me, but my wife likes complete darkness while sleeping. Overall, I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice view, all the amenities, and a quiet place.
