Kona Makai 6201

We a wonderful time. The apartment has an amazing view all around and sleeping with the sound of the ocean was so great. All the rooms are just like in the pictures and you will find everything you need for a great vacation. We felt right home right away. The communication was quick and check in was really easy. It was our second stay at Kona makai and will will come back.

Beautiful apartment with views of the ocean from both bedrooms, living room and kitchen, and the amazing wrap-around lanai. Hearing the sound of the waves 24/7 was wonderful. The best part was being able to walk out and snorkel right in front of the apartment. Even saw spinner dolphins from the lanai one morning!! Condo amenities were a big plus (parking and table tennis especially, were appreciated). Apartment is spacious, well-stocked and clean -- the kitchen is very well provisioned (great quality kitchen equipment and sharp knives were appreciated!!). Ideal location with grocery store / restaurants / shops just a short drive away. Our family of 5 enjoyed it so much we decided to postpone other planned big island activities in favor of staying at the condo to enjoy the snorkeling just steps away, and relaxing on the lanai with a glass of wine. If we were ever to come back to the big island, we would love to stay here again!!

This is the third time we have stayed in this unit. You have the feeling that the owner visits on occasion as the unit is so well appointed. It lacks for nothing! The views from the expansive lanai can’t be beat. The unit and the entire complex is very clean and well maintained. The garden areas are lovely and well tended. We love coming here.

First time staying here and I couldn't have asked for more! This place had it all, the breath taking view, tranquility, beautiful courtyard, super clean condo, a large pool, and plenty of outdoor living space! We are definitely staying here during our next visit to Kona. The location is perfect, 5min drive to kona. 20min walking distance. It is only 25min from the airport and plenty to do close by. Loved it!

We stayed at the Kona Makai Condos in Kona and they are the best on the Island for sure. We go for the units on the end and stayed in 6-201. The owners have beautifully fixed up the unit and since we are repeat renters it feels like home. We have been coming to the Kona Makai for more than 20 years and we have so many beautiful memories with our family and friends. The huge lanai allows you to sit and watch the whales and dolphins as they play just in front of the unit. On most days you can hop in the water and swim out to see them. We just can't say enough good things about the owners Phil and Sue who did us such a huge favor this year. We also enjoyed the nice touches and special surprises Elite Pacific leaves for your stay. We stayed for 2 weeks and had the time of our lives. You wont find a better view that is right on the water than unit 6-201 at Kona Makai

Our stay was wonderful. This condo is clean, well-located, comfortable and supplied with everything you might need. The view of the water is great - sitting on the lanai to watch the waves and the sunsets was a highlight of our stay. The condo was very well supplied - lots of beach & snorkel gear, kitchen well-supplied, etc. The only thing they didn't have was laundry detergent, which seemed like it was probably just an oversight. The beds were quite comfortable. The pool in the complex was nice and it was also good to have barbecue grills available. The condo location is far enough from town that you would probably want to drive. There's a bus stop about a half mile away, which I think is the nearest one. It's nice to be within a few miles of several beaches, including Kahalu'u, where there's good snorkeling. We had a great stay and would definitely rent there again.

Amazing sunsets, daily visits from the spinner dolphins, great snorkelling directly in front, relaxing pool and spa. The condo has everything you need to make for a relaxing and memorable holiday.

We loved this unit!!! Location was great (oceanfront). We lived out on the lanai, it was huge and had a ton of places to sit and enjoy the ocean views and sunsets. The unit itself was more than large enough for a family of 5. The interior of the unit was updated and clean. The unit was also well stocked, from beach towels to snorkel gear, to beach chairs, to anything you needed in the kitchen and for the grill. The complex and grounds were well kept. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay on the big island!!

The parking and condos were gated, which was nice for safety. The unit was clean and comfortable with all you need to cook anything you would want. The wrap around porch was the best and everything was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect as well.

WORTH.EVERY.PENNY! The pictures absolutely do not do this property justice! Aside from being a bit difficult to find, it was truly better than the description and pictures depicted. The lanai(s) are huge, with more than enough room for myself, my husband, my 19-year-old, and my 16-year-old twins! The company was very quick to respond, pleasant, and understanding. We heeded the advice of the welcome book and that made the checkin and particularly the checkout quick and easy compared to some other rentals we’ve rented in the past. We were happy to not be expected to perform a deep clean prior to checkout, particularly after paying a cleaning fee (which was warranted as the unit was very clean)! The beds and furniture were good quality and comfortable. The picture and bit of info about the owners was a nice touch. There was virtually everything we needed already in the unit for us to use, and while I am not really high maintenance, I am VERY particular (through no fault of my own of course) so that is saying a lot! This included beach towels, chairs, life vests, etc. There were more than enough towels for both in-rental use (white) and beach use (multi-colored). There are even some extra toiletries left over from prior guests, to which we happily contributed. Although a bit pricey for us, it was absolutely, completely magical and we cannot recommend this property and Elite Pacific Management enough!

We loved our time in Kona. The property had everything we needed and extras. Stocked as a home away from home. We went snorkeling off the rocks- and saw the same fish we paid $100+ dollars to see on a tour. Neighbors were friendly, close enough to walk to town (for avid walkers) and views were fantastic. Would love to spend more time here.

Loved our stay! location is simply awesome; balcony all around facing the ocean..very specious, with all amenities. You can't go wrong with this place. Highly recommend!

Great property with a beautiful view and very well appointed!

We usually stay up the coast in the Mana Kea Resort area. Decided to stay in Kona on the water. Wonderful unit right on the water. Magnificent sunsets. Central to attractions north and south of Kona. Fun to do the Kona hangouts during the day and night. Overall excellent!!

We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was perfect from the furnishings to the VIEW! What more could you ask for! We loved it so much that we will be back!

My husband, mom in law, and I had an unforgettable stay at Kona Makai. The lanai provided incredible views of the beautiful ocean and cove in which much wildlife was enjoyed (dolphins, seals, turtles, yellow tangs). We have been to Hawaii over 10 times and this condo has easily become our #1 favorite place to stay. We will definitely be back!
