This detached home can comfortably sleep up to six guests and is equipped with a sleeper sofa to accommodate two additional guests if needed. The main floor lanai offers panoramic views of the rolling fairways and is an ideal spot to enjoy the renowned Hawaiian sunsets you’ll be treated to daily thanks to the home’s location on the warm, sunny west side of the Big Island. When you’re not busy exploring the beaches and valleys of the gold coast, the pool and hot tub in your fenced-in backyard are sure to keep you occupied.

The great room sits under vaulted GrassCloth ceilings with mahogany trim and a unique Palisade ceiling fan. You’ll enjoy cooking in the home’s gourmet kitchen, complete with high-end stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a large island with bar seating. The open floor plan allows the chef to interact with friends and family seated at the dining table for six to eight people, as well as the adjacent living room, where a large, mounted flatscreen TV is surrounded by a plush couch and two sitting chairs the color of the ocean. Massive screened pocket doors connect the great room to the sizable lanai, where the beauty of the carved wooden posts and the railing’s subtle leaf designs are utterly eclipsed by the vast golf course and peek-a-boo ocean view beyond. Grill and consume a mouth-watering meal on the outdoor dining table, as you listen to the other guests splash around in the pool below.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious family room with a flatscreen TV, lots of seating, including a sofa bed to accommodate additional guests, and access to the home’s spectacular backyard. A pool and hot tub serve as the centerpiece of the space, and are surrounded by lounge chairs, colorful plants, and numerous trees ensuring privacy from your neighbors. All of the bedrooms include flatscreen TVs and ceiling fans. You can access the primary bedroom, with its four poster king-size bed, via sliding glass doors from the backyard. The spacious ensuite includes both a soaking tub and walk-in shower, dual vanities, and a large walk-in closet. There is also a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer units in the home for your convenience.

Perfect location for a family getaway

Perfect location for a family getaway. The home had three good bedrooms plus queen and twin pull out couches. Kitchen was completely stocked and had more appliances than I knew what to do with. The swimming pool is small but kept my 12, 9 and six-year-old adequately entertained. The house comes with a key card to the Napua beach house, that gets you parking very close to the beach so it was super easy to take the family to the beach for the day! Beach chairs, snorkels, flippers and umbrellas in the garage for your use!

 My wife and I, together with close friends, chose to stay at this exceptional property on the Big Island. First, the Ka Milo development is an excellent property with two large community pools, one used for community purposes, the other designed for adults and is considered a lap pool. Large covered seating area with extremely comfortable chairs with deep cushions, available BBQ grills and a large jacuzzi. All kept very clean and easily accessible from anywhere on the property. 

 

Now, on to the home itself – WOW! Two levels with high quality furnishings throughout, including welcoming sofas, chairs and ottomans. Exceptional kitchen area with high-end equipment and numerous appliances. Very nice working desk with included HP printer and the fastest internet speeds keeps you connected and productive as needed. Both the upstairs lanai with dining table, chairs and separate deep-set cushions and accompanying footstools allow for ultimate relaxation as you look directly onto the well-manicured golf course (very compelling par 3) and the peek-a-boo view of the ocean, together with nice tropical breezes make for a relaxing stay. Lower outside lanai is large with four loungers together with another pair of comfortable chairs, ottomans and side tables compliment your own personal pool, jacuzzi with a waterfall and outstanding landscaping. All of the bedrooms have large screen high-definition flat screen TV’s which offer clear, crisp viewing when needed. All beds have comfortable, high-quality mattresses and top-end pillows and sheets. Don’t forget the key-card access to the private beach which has waiting chairs, well protected bay and some of the best snorkeling options in Mauna Lani.

 

Highly recommend considering this property for your next Big Island vacation. We plan to return again in the near future. Aloha!!

The unit at Ka Milo was lovely

The unit at Ka Milo was lovely - clean, well appointed and comfortable. It was frustrating that the concierge never replied to my multiple requests for more pillows or for information on golf cart rentals. And the the units are very close together here (even though is a freestanding home) so in the backyard especially you are able to hear everything that is going on next door (there is privacy screening with shrubs at least).
