North Kihei keeps a quieter pace than the resort stretch to the south, with Ma'alaea Harbor and the aquarium a short drive one way and the shops and restaurants of central Kihei the other. Sugar Beach itself is the main event, a long flat walk in either direction with room to spread out. Kahului and the OGG airport sit at the top of the isthmus, an easy run when it is time to leave.
