Plantation Cottage at Poipu

Overall, lovely stay at Plantation Cottage! I bright my mom and auntie to Kauai for the first time, and this was a solid choice in terms of accommodations. The house is large and bright, and well-situated for exploring the whole island, really, as getting from the house to the main road is a short drive.Amenities were fine; the view is gorgeous, and the outdoor deck for sunset views is a lovely spot to hang out. Some of the beach gear and the stove could use some love, but overall we had an amazing time.

Everything was perfect, just as the photos. The welcome book told us everything we needed to know and more! VERY helpful. Great neighborhood and location, 5 minutes to Poipo beach. We couldn't have asked for more, and would book here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful location, fantastic outdoor space, very private. House was great for adults, three very generous primary bedrooms. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful time here. the backyard was amazing. the pool, hot tub, and outdoor shower were such an absolute pleasure. We cooked many meals in the magnificent kitchen. the Weber barbeque was a plus. This house is huge! Each bedroom is a deluxe suite. All 3 bedrooms have master bathrooms with amazing bathtubs and plenty of storage space. there are so many windows so its full of light all day. the air conditioning and ceiling fans kept everything nice and cool. There is a great landscaping crew that is always making sure everything is perfect. The property management team was very friendly and responsive to communication and made us feel at home. we highly recommended this house and would happily return again and again.

Our group of six had a fabulous time at this property. It exceeded expectations, was close to the beach and amenities, and felt like home.

Location is perfect for a kauai family vacation because it is away from the weekday traffic in the Lihue and Kapaa areas. Shops like big save and longs drugs are right down the road. Do it right and go to Costco for your meats and frozen items. The home has plenty of spices flour and sugar and oil to cook with. The bedrooms were all very comfortable as they all have a/c and their own bathroom. The pool and jacuzzi is going to have debris in it from the garden and the winds, it’s inevitable. They do leave a skimmer out for that. The cookware, pots and pans are pretty worn out but they do get the job done. The home itself shows a little wear and tear as expected with a vacation rental but I personally appreciated that when arriving with my family. I didn’t have the anxiety about staying in a place that was too pristine. It’s well equipped for a family that wants to have fun, play board games, bbq and play in the pool.

Enjoyed it all! Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. The porch built to view the golf course was perfect for morning coffee/afternoon cocktails. Location was perfect; walked to beaches, coffee, restaurants. Everything we needed was there and the managers helped with minor issues. Great communication, really easy all around. Loved it and highly recommend!

Everything is first class at this house. Located on the first green of a golf course with great views and very peaceful. Nice pool and hot tub and all the amenities you need. Would rent again and again, lol.

A really wonderful home and worth the price. Very spacious. Great for 2-3 couples. Having a pool is a real must and the pool is quite nice. You don’t have super views unless you love golf courses. But the house feels very private. Would definitely recommend this place highly if you are looking for a place in Poipu. Only drawback was not being within comfortable walking distance to the beach but it’s a nice walk to the nearby shopping center.

The home is very nice. The beds are incredibly nice. Everyone expressed how well they slept. This home sleeps six. Two people per king bed.

We stayed for five nights in March with a few couples and had a great time. The house is great for relaxing, golfing, cooking and hosting at; and is a 10 minute walk to shops, food and the beach. It was the perfect set up for us, each room is roughly the same size and has a full bathroom so it works well for multiple couples. The sunrises, pool and hot tub in the backyard are unbelievable. A magical place.

We had an amazing time overall, the house was so spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to unwind on our vacation. Check in and out was really easy (just by text). We especially appreciated the outdoor amenities— the pool, hot tub and outdoor shower and fire pit amenities were an amazing way to unwind after long days of outdoor activities. A couple of things to note: like other reviewers mentioned, no curtains on the bathroom windows were a little awkward. And we found the first floor bedroom to be too musty smelling to actually stay/sleep in, it didn’t improve much after we aired it out. Hopefully this is an easy fix. But overall everything was really excellent. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Kauai.

This beautiful property met our needs to support 3 Adult couples (1 infant) with 3 King Bedrooms with full on-suites for seven days. There was ample room for all of us to be comfortable; multiple areas to sit and relax or dine, nice large screen TV. Upgraded Appliances (Beautiful Stove, Large Refrigerator, Full Washer/Dryer; laundry room.), nice Cookware, Dishes, Glasses, Coffee Mugs, other Amenities (Coffee Grinder/Maker, Toaster, Vacuum) all were clean, nice and very convenient. (Property Manager picked us up an electric Tea Kettle, which we used everyday.) We worked through a defrost issue with the icemaker. We really enjoyed the large outdoor dining area for breakfast and evening dinners. Nice outdoor LP gas grill for Steaks and Burgers. Hot Tub was nice, Pool was nice, with outside enclosed shower. Great views of sunrises from pool deck and upper lanai deck. Only a few minor issues that we dealt with. No window coverings in any of the bathrooms made us get creative to utilize the showers / facilities, something we shouldn't have had to worry about, minor inconvenience. (The downstairs suite toiliet needs some work, smells.) You must note that in Hawaii you typically don't have AC, when it's hot and humid, fans are a necessity. Property Manager picked us up a couple more oscllating fans. Very convenient location to golf course, shopping and restaurants, beaches, scuba and sightseeing. Overall we would definitely recommend this property, had a great visit to Kauai.

Our experience in this house was amazing. We were in Hawaii for a very difficult experience, spreading the ashes of our 16 yr old son. It was important to me to have a comfortable house with enough space for my husband, our younger son, my parents and my mother in law. We were all able to have plenty of privacy and space here along with the comfort of a beautiful space. The property manager was pleasant to work with also. We’d definitely book here again.

This home was beyond amazing for our island getaway. It is located on a quiet golf course and has all updated amenities. The house was clean, extremely spacious and well kept. Bryan, the property manager, was friendly and communicative. It was a wonderful stay!
